Put on sackcloth, you priests, and mourn; wail, you who minister before the altar. Come, spend the night in sackcloth, you who minister before my God; for the grain offerings and drink offerings are withheld from the house of your God.

Priests, put on the clothing of sadness and mourn. Cry, you who serve at the altar. Come, you who serve my God in the temple. Spend the night dressed in the clothes of sadness. Weep because no one brings grain offerings and drink offerings to the house of your God anymore.

我的子民啊，你們要像死了未婚夫的少女，穿上喪服痛哭哀號。耶和華殿中的素祭和奠祭都停止了，事奉耶和華的祭司都哀傷。

為此，你們要腰束麻布，嚎啕大哭，因為耶和華向我們發的烈怒還沒有止息。

尼尼微城的人相信了上帝的話，便宣告禁食，所有的人，無論大小貴賤都換上麻衣。尼尼微王聽到這消息後，便走下寶座，脫下王袍，披上麻衣，坐在爐灰中。王又向全城頒佈命令，說：「王和大臣有令，所有的人都必須禁食，牛羊牲畜都不許吃草也不許喝水。人和牲畜都必須披上麻衣，眾人要向上帝懇切呼求，改邪歸正，停止作惡。

亞哈聽了以利亞的話，就撕裂衣服，披麻禁食，睡覺也不脫下麻衣，垂頭喪氣地走來走去。

讓事奉耶和華的祭司站在聖殿門廊和祭壇中間，哭泣懇求說：「耶和華啊，求你顧惜你的子民，不要讓外族人侮辱、譏笑你的產業說，『你們的上帝在哪裡呢？』」

我要為眾山悲傷痛哭，為曠野的草原唱哀歌，因為那裡一片荒涼，杳無人跡，聽不見牲畜的叫聲，飛鳥和走獸也逃去無蹤。

他們必身披麻衣，戰慄發抖。他們必剃光頭髮，滿面羞愧。

因為這裡所說的這位祭司屬於別的支派，那支派裡從來沒有在祭壇前供職的祭司。顯然，我們的主基督屬於猶大支派，摩西從來沒有說這個支派會出祭司。

祂使我們能夠擔任新約的執事。這新約不是用律法條文立的，而是聖靈的工作，因為律法條文帶給人死亡，但聖靈賜給人生命。

大衛為這孩子向上帝哀求，並且禁食，他進到裡面，整夜躺在地上。

因此，人應該把我們當作是基督的僕人，是上帝奧祕之事的管家。

你們難道不知道，在聖殿裡事奉的人可以吃聖殿裡的食物，在祭壇前事奉的人可以分享祭壇上的祭物嗎？

反倒在任何事上都顯明自己是上帝的僕人。不論遭遇什麼患難、艱苦、貧窮、

「要把做好的素祭帶到耶和華面前，交給祭司獻在祭壇上。祭司要從中取出一部分，作為象徵放在祭壇上焚燒。這是蒙耶和華悅納的馨香火祭。剩下的素祭要歸亞倫及其子孫。在獻給耶和華的火祭中，這是至聖之物。

此外，要照常獻上朔日和日常應獻的燔祭、素祭和奠祭，給耶和華作馨香的火祭。

他們自稱是基督的僕人，我說句狂話，我更是！我比他們更辛苦，坐牢更多，身受更重的鞭打，經常出生入死。

你們要被稱為耶和華的祭司，我們上帝的臣僕。你們必享用各國的財寶，誇耀自己擁有他們的財富。
