Let his faithful people be filled with joy because of that honor. Let them sing for joy even when they are lying in bed.

About midnight Paul and Silas were praying. They were also singing hymns to God. The other prisoners were listening to them.

During the day the Lord sends his love to me. During the night I sing about him. I say a prayer to the God who gives me life.

How can you forget me? I made you. I stretch out the heavens. I lay the foundations of the earth. Why are you terrified every day? Is it because those who are angry with you are crushing you? Is it because they are trying to destroy you? Their anger can’t harm you anymore.

“ Those whose hearts are ungodly are always angry. Even when God puts them in chains, they don’t cry out for help.

Here is what people who suffer because of God’s plan should do. They should commit themselves to their faithful Creator. And they should continue to do good.

Remember your Creator. Remember him while you are still young. Think about him before your times of trouble come. The years will come when you will say,“ I don’t find any pleasure in them.”

They will suffer and be hungry. They’ll wander through the land. When they are very hungry, they will become angry. They’ll look up toward heaven. They’ll ask for bad things to happen to their king and their God.

Saul died because he wasn’t faithful to the Lord. He didn’t obey the word of the Lord. He even asked for advice from a person who gets messages from people who have died.He didn’t ask the Lord for advice. So the Lord put him to death. He turned the kingdom over to David. David was the son of Jesse.

If I weren’t honest when I praised people, my Maker would soon take me from this life.

They won’t take delight in the Mighty One. They’ll never call out to God.

I get my knowledge from far away. I’ll announce that the God who made me is fair.

When King Ahaz was in trouble, he became even more unfaithful to the Lord.Ahaz offered sacrifices to the gods of Damascus. They had won the battle over him. Ahaz thought,“ The gods of the kings of Aram have helped them. So I’ll sacrifice to those gods. Then they’ll help me.” But those gods only caused his ruin. In fact, those gods caused the ruin of the whole nation of Israel.
