現在斧頭已經放在樹根上，所有不結好果子的樹，就砍下來，丟在火裡。

我的皮肉遭受毀壞以後，這事就要發生，我必在肉體以外得見神。

我若對深坑說：‘你是我的父親’，對蟲說：‘你是我的母親，我的姊妹’，

樹木常有希望，樹木若被砍下，也會再發芽，嫩枝仍生長不息。雖然樹根衰老在地裡，樹幹也枯死在土中，一有水氣，就會萌芽，又生長枝條如新栽的樹一樣。人死了，就化為烏有；人一氣絕就不在了。

死去的不能再活，離世的不能再起來，因為你懲罰他們，消滅了他們，使他們完全不再被記念。
