Those who commit adultery wait until the sun goes down. They think,‘ No one will see us.’ They keep their faces hidden.

So Uriah abode in Jerusalem that day, and the morrow.And when David had called him, he did eat and drink before him; and he made him drunk: and at even he went out to lie on his bed with the servants of his lord, but went not down to his house.

When thou sawest a thief, thou consentedst with him, And hast been partaker with adulterers.

He that committeth adultery with a woman is void of understanding: He doeth it who would destroy his own soul.Wounds and dishonor shall he get; And his reproach shall not be wiped away.For jealousy is the rage of a man; And he will not spare in the day of vengeance.He will not regard any ransom; Neither will he rest content, though thou givest many gifts.

And they say, How doth God know? And is there knowledge in the Most High?

Then said he unto me, Son of man, hast thou seen what the elders of the house of Israel do in the dark, every man in his chambers of imagery? for they say, Jehovah seeth us not; Jehovah hath forsaken the land.

And thou sayest, What doth God know? Can he judge through the thick darkness?Thick clouds are a covering to him, so that he seeth not; And he walketh on the vault of heaven.

Thou shalt not commit adultery.
