Jesus answered him,“ I have spoken openly to the world; I always taught in synagogues and in the temple area, where all the Jews congregate; and I said nothing in secret.

And Jesus entered the temple area and drove out all those who were selling and buying on the temple grounds, and He overturned the tables of the money changers and the seats of those who were selling doves.

And early in the morning He came again into the temple area, and all the people were coming to Him; and He sat down and began teaching them.

Now the feast of the Jews, the Feast of Booths, was near.

Afterward, Jesus* found him in the temple and said to him,“ Behold, you have become well; do not sin anymore, so that nothing worse happens to you.”

‘ Then on the fifteenth day of the seventh month you shall have a holy assembly; you shall do no laborious work, and you shall celebrate with a feast to the Lord for seven days.You shall present a burnt offering, an offering by fire as a soothing aroma to the Lord: thirteen bulls, two rams, and fourteen male lambs one year old, which are without defect;

“ Behold, I am sending My messenger, and he will clear a way before Me. And the Lord, whom you are seeking, will suddenly come to His temple; and the messenger of the covenant, in whom you delight, behold, He is coming,” says the Lord of armies.

‘ Then on the second day: twelve bulls, two rams, and fourteen male lambs one year old without defect;

‘ Then on the fourth day: ten bulls, two rams, and fourteen male lambs one year old without defect;their grain offering and their drink offerings for the bulls, for the rams, and for the lambs, by their number according to the ordinance;and one male goat as a sin offering, besides the continual burnt offering, its grain offering, and its drink offering.‘ Then on the fifth day: nine bulls, two rams, and fourteen male lambs one year old without defect;and their grain offering and their drink offerings for the bulls, for the rams, and for the lambs, by their number according to the ordinance;and one male goat as a sin offering, besides the continual burnt offering and its grain offering, and its drink offering.‘ Then on the sixth day: eight bulls, two rams, and fourteen male lambs one year old without defect;and their grain offering and their drink offerings for the bulls, for the rams, and for the lambs, by their number according to the ordinance;and one male goat as a sin offering, besides the continual burnt offering, its grain offering, and its drink offerings.‘ Then on the seventh day: seven bulls, two rams, and fourteen male lambs one year old without defect;and their grain offering and their drink offerings for the bulls, for the rams, and for the lambs, by their number according to the ordinance;and one male goat as a sin offering, besides the continual burnt offering, its grain offering, and its drink offering.‘ On the eighth day you shall have a sacred assembly; you shall do no laborious work.But you shall present a burnt offering, an offering by fire, as a soothing aroma to the Lord: one bull, one ram, and seven male lambs one year old without defect;their grain offering and their drink offerings for the bull, for the ram, and for the lambs, by their number according to the ordinance;and one male goat as a sin offering, besides the continual burnt offering and its grain offering, and its drink offering.‘ You shall present these to the Lord at your appointed times, besides your vowed offerings and your voluntary offerings, for your burnt offerings, your grain offerings, your drink offerings, and for your peace offerings.’ ”And Moses spoke to the sons of Israel in accordance with everything that the Lord had commanded Moses.

At that time Jesus said to the crowds,“ Have you come out with swords and clubs to arrest Me as you would against a man inciting a revolt? Every day I used to sit within the temple grounds teaching, and you did not arrest Me.

‘ Then on the third day: eleven bulls, two rams, and fourteen male lambs one year old without defect;

Now on the last day, the great day of the feast, Jesus stood and cried out, saying,“ If anyone is thirsty, let him come to Me and drink.

I will shake all the nations; and they will come with the wealth of all nations, and I will fill this house with glory,’ says the Lord of armies.‘ The silver is Mine and the gold is Mine,’ declares the Lord of armies.‘ The latter glory of this house will be greater than the former,’ says the Lord of armies,‘ and in this place I will give peace,’ declares the Lord of armies.”
