Looking at him, Jesus loved him and said to him,“ You lack one thing: Go, sell all you have and give to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven. Then come, follow me.”

The inscription of the charge written against him was: THE KING OF THE JEWS.

Then he said to them all,“ If anyone wants to follow after me, let him deny himself, take up his cross daily, and follow me.

“ Bring the one who has cursed to the outside of the camp and have all who heard him lay their hands on his head; then have the whole community stone him.

After they had mocked him, they stripped him of the robe, put his own clothes on him, and led him away to crucify him.As they were going out, they found a Cyrenian man named Simon. They forced him to carry his cross.When they came to a place called Golgotha( which means Place of the Skull),they gave him wine mixed with gall to drink. But when he tasted it, he refused to drink it.

The two wicked men came in and sat opposite him. Then the wicked men testified against Naboth in the presence of the people, saying,“ Naboth has cursed God and the king!” So they took him outside the city and stoned him to death with stones.

Let the Messiah, the King of Israel, come down now from the cross, so that we may see and believe.” Even those who were crucified with him taunted him.
