「但我要從父那裏差保惠師來，就是從父出來的那真理的靈，他來的時候要為我作見證。

“我要从父那里为你们差护慰者来，祂就是从父而来的真理之灵。祂来了要为我做见证。

“我从父那里要差来给你们的保惠师，就是从父那里出来的真理的灵，他来到的时候，要为我作见证。

“我将从父那里派遣慰助者来，他就是从父而来的真理的灵。他来的时候，将为我做见证。

但我要從父那裏差保惠師來，就是從父出來真理的聖靈；他來了，就要為我作見證。

「但我要從父那裏差保惠師來，就是從父出來的那真理的靈，他來的時候要為我作見證。

「我要從父那裡為你們差護慰者來，祂就是從父而來的真理之靈。祂來了要為我做見證。

“我從父那裡要差來給你們的保惠師，就是從父那裡出來的真理的靈，他來到的時候，要為我作見證。

但那幫助者、我從父那裏所要差來找你們的、真理之靈、從父而出的，那一位來的時候、就要為我作見證了。

「我將從父那裡派遣慰助者來，他就是從父而來的真理的靈。他來的時候，將為我做見證。

但我自父將遣於爾之保惠師、即出於父真理之神、既至、必為我證、

我所遣之保惠師、即真理之神、由父出者、既至、必為我證、

我由父將遣於爾之保慰者、即真理之神、由父而出者、彼既至、必為我作證、

予當自聖父遣發保慰恩師於爾、保慰恩師非他、即真道之神發自聖父者是。彼至必為予作證、

“ When the Advocate comes, whom I will send to you from the Father— the Spirit of truth who goes out from the Father— he will testify about me.

“ I will send the Friend to you from the Father. He is the Spirit of truth, who comes out from the Father. When the Friend comes to help you, he will be a witness about me.

“ But when the Helper comes, whom I will send to you from the Father, the Spirit of truth, who proceeds from the Father, he will bear witness about me.

“ But I will send you the Advocate— the Spirit of truth. He will come to you from the Father and will testify all about me.

“ When the Counselor comes, the one I will send to you from the Father— the Spirit of truth who proceeds from the Father— he will testify about me.

“ When the Helper comes, whom I will send to you from the Father, namely, the Spirit of truth who comes from the Father, He will testify about Me,

“ But when the Helper comes, whom I shall send to you from the Father, the Spirit of truth who proceeds from the Father, He will testify of Me.

But when the Comforter is come, whom I will send unto you from the Father, even the Spirit of truth, which proceedeth from the Father, he shall bear witness of me:

“ When the Counselor comes, the One I will send to you from the Father— the Spirit of truth who proceeds from the Father— He will testify about Me.

But when the Comforter is come, whom I will send unto you from the Father,[ even] the Spirit of truth, which proceedeth from the Father, he shall testify of me:

When the Advocate comes, whom I will send you from the Father– the Spirit of truth who goes out from the Father– he will testify about me,

“ When the Counselor has come, whom I will send to you from the Father, the Spirit of truth, who proceeds from the Father, he will testify about me.

但保惠師，就是父因我的名所要差來的聖靈，他要把一切的事教導你們，並且要使你們想起我對你們所說的一切話。

我要求父，父就賜給你們另外一位保惠師，使他永遠與你們同在。他就是真理的靈，是世人不能接受的。因為他們既看不見他，也不認識他；你們卻認識他，因他常與你們同在，也要在你們裏面。

我們是這些事的見證人；上帝賜給順從的人的聖靈也為這些事作見證。」

但真理的靈來的時候，他要引導你們進入一切真理。因為他不是憑着自己說的，而是把他所聽見的都說出來，並且要把將要來的事向你們傳達。他要榮耀我，因為他要把從我領受的向你們傳達。凡父所有的都是我的，所以我說，他要把從我領受的向你們傳達。」

這藉着水和血而來的，就是耶穌基督，不是單用水，而是用水又用血，並且有聖靈作見證，因為聖靈就是真理。作見證的有三：就是聖靈、水與血，這三樣也都是一致的。既然我們領受人的見證，上帝的見證更該領受了，因為上帝的見證是為他兒子作的。信上帝兒子的，就有這見證在他心裏；不信上帝的，就是把上帝當作說謊的，因為不信上帝為他兒子作的見證。

正如我為基督作的見證在你們心裏得以堅固，

這耶穌，上帝已經使他復活了，我們都是這事的見證人。他既被高舉在上帝的右邊，又從父受了所應許的聖靈，就把你們所看見所聽見的，澆灌下來。

天使又讓我看一道生命水的河，明亮如水晶，從上帝和羔羊的寶座流出來，

知道人心的上帝也為他們作了見證，賜聖靈給他們，正如給我們一樣；

然而，我把真情告訴你們，我去對你們是有益的。我若不去，保惠師就不會到你們這裏來；我若去，就差他到你們這裏來。

我要將我父所應許的降在你們身上，你們要在城裏等候，直到你們領受從上面來的能力。」

上帝又按自己的旨意，更用神蹟奇事、百般的異能，和聖靈所給的恩賜，與他們一同作見證。

耶穌對他們說：「假如上帝是你們的父，你們會愛我，因為我本是出於上帝，也是從上帝而來，我不是憑着自己來，而是他差我來的。
