But the house of Israel will not want to listen to you because they do not want to listen to Me. For the whole house of Israel is hardheaded and hardhearted.

who killed both the Lord Jesus and the prophets and persecuted us; they displease God and are hostile to everyone,

we are persecuted but not abandoned; we are struck down but not destroyed.

we labor, working with our own hands. When we are reviled, we bless; when we are persecuted, we endure it;

Who has believed what we have heard? And who has the arm of the Lord been revealed to?He grew up before Him like a young plant and like a root out of dry ground. He didn’t have an impressive form or majesty that we should look at Him, no appearance that we should desire Him.He was despised and rejected by men, a man of suffering who knew what sickness was. He was like someone people turned away from; He was despised, and we didn’t value Him.

Again the Jews picked up rocks to stone Him.

“ For, in fact, in this city both Herod and Pontius Pilate, with the Gentiles and the people of Israel, assembled together against Your holy Servant Jesus, whom You anointed,to do whatever Your hand and Your plan had predestined to take place.And now, Lord, consider their threats, and grant that Your slaves may speak Your message with complete boldness,while You stretch out Your hand for healing, signs, and wonders to be performed through the name of Your holy Servant Jesus.”

They even killed those who announced beforehand the coming of the Righteous One, whose betrayers and murderers you have now become.You received the law under the direction of angels and yet have not kept it.”When they heard these things, they were enraged in their hearts and gnashed their teeth at him.But Stephen, filled by the Holy Spirit, gazed into heaven. Therefore, the Jews began persecuting Jesus because He was doing these things on the Sabbath.

I assure you: If anyone keeps My word, he will never see death— ever!”

The chief priests and the Pharisees had given orders that if anyone knew where He was, he should report it so they could arrest Him.

At that, they picked up stones to throw at Him. But Jesus was hidden and went out of the temple complex.

Then Simeon blessed them and told His mother Mary:“ Indeed, this child is destined to cause the fall and rise of many in Israel and to be a sign that will be opposed—

The Pharisees heard the crowd muttering these things about Him, so the chief priests and the Pharisees sent temple police to arrest Him.

But the Lord told him,“ Listen to the people and everything they say to you. They have not rejected you; they have rejected Me as their king.

A disciple is not above his teacher, but everyone who is fully trained will be like his teacher.
