司祭諸長及法利塞人、乃召集會議、僉曰：『斯人多行異蹟、吾輩將何以處之？

Then the chief priests and the Pharisees called a meeting of the Sanhedrin.“ What are we accomplishing?” they asked.“ Here is this man performing many signs.

So the chief priests and the Pharisees gathered the Council and said,“ What are we to do? For this man performs many signs.

Then the leading priests and Pharisees called the high council together.“ What are we going to do?” they asked each other.“ This man certainly performs many miraculous signs.

So the chief priests and the Pharisees convened the Sanhedrin and were saying,“ What are we going to do since this man is doing many signs?

Therefore the chief priests and the Pharisees convened a council meeting, and they were saying,“ What are we doing in regard to the fact that this man is performing many signs?

Then the chief priests and the Pharisees gathered a council and said,“ What shall we do? For this Man works many signs.

So the chief priests and the Pharisees convened the Sanhedrin and said,“ What are we going to do since this man does many signs?

那時，祭司長們和民間的長老們聚集在叫該亞法的大祭司的宅院裡，

耶穌在加利利的迦拿行了這頭一件神蹟，顯明了他的榮耀，他的門徒們就信了他。

於是法利賽人互相說：「可見你們真沒用！看，這世界都跟隨他去了。」

但是我告訴你們：所有向他弟兄發怒的，當遭受審判；罵他弟兄『廢物』的，當遭受議會的審判；罵『蠢貨』的，當遭受烈火的地獄。

地上的君王們站出來，首領們一同商定，敵對耶和華和他的受膏者，說：「讓我們掙斷他們的捆綁，把他們的繩索從我們身上甩掉！」坐在天上的那一位會譏笑，主會嘲笑他們。

到了第二天，猶太人的首領、長老和經文士們都聚集在耶路撒冷。大祭司亞納、該亞法、約翰、亞歷山大，以及大祭司家族的人都在那裡。

原來，祭司長們和法利賽人早就下令，如果有人知道耶穌在哪裡，就要報告，好抓住他。

過兩天就是逾越節和除酵節了。祭司長們和經文士們在圖謀怎樣用詭計拘捕耶穌，把他殺掉。

他們聽從這話，在清晨的時候就進入聖殿教導人。這時，大祭司和與他在一起的人來了，他們召集了議會，就是以色列子民長老的全體議會，然後派人到監獄裡，要把使徒們帶來。

當聖殿的守衛長和祭司長們聽到這些話的時候，就對使徒們的事感到困惑，不知道這事會如何發展。

祭司長們和經文士們在圖謀怎樣能殺掉耶穌，因為他們怕民眾。

到了清晨，所有的祭司長和民間的長老商議對付耶穌，為要處死他。他們把耶穌捆起來帶走，交給總督彼拉多。

「事實上，希律和本丟彼拉多，與外邦人和以色列子民果然在這城裡一同聚集，對付你所膏立的聖僕耶穌，做成了你手和你計劃所預定要成就的一切事。

說：「我們該怎麼處理這些人呢？藉著他們，確實發生了一個明顯的神蹟，所有住在耶路撒冷的人都清清楚楚；我們也不能否認。不過為了避免這事在民間傳揚更廣，讓我們威嚇他們，不可再奉耶穌的名對任何人講話。」
