This was the true Light that, coming into the world, enlightens every person.

惟彼真光。普照生靈。凡生於世。資之以明。

I have come as Light into the world, so that no one who believes in Me will remain in darkness.

In Him was life, and the life was the Light of mankind.

But you, brothers and sisters, are not in darkness, so that the day would overtake you like a thief;for you are all sons of light and sons of day. We are not of night nor of darkness;so then, let’s not sleep as others do, but let’s be alert and sober.For those who sleep, sleep at night, and those who are drunk, get drunk at night.

He came as a witness, to testify about the Light, so that all might believe through him.

And we know that the Son of God has come, and has given us understanding so that we may know Him who is true; and we are in Him who is true, in His Son Jesus Christ. This is the true God and eternal life.

To the Law and to the testimony! If they do not speak in accordance with this word, it is because they have no dawn.

“ I am the true vine, and My Father is the vinedresser.

And there was a great deal of talk about Him in secret among the crowds: some were saying,“ He is a good man”; others were saying,“ No, on the contrary, He is misleading the people.”

But if your eye is bad, your whole body will be full of darkness. So if the light that is in you is darkness, how great is the darkness!
