In the days to come,” says the Lord,“ I will sound the battle cry against your city of Rabbah. It will become a desolate heap of ruins, and the neighboring towns will be burned. Then Israel will take back the land you took from her,” says the Lord.

Therefore look, the days are coming— this is the LORD’s declaration— when I will make the shout of battle heard against Rabbah of the Ammonites. It will become a desolate mound, and its surrounding villages will be set on fire. Israel will dispossess their dispossessors, says the LORD.

Because you did that, I, the LORD, affirm that a time is coming when I will make Rabbah, the capital city of Ammon, hear the sound of the battle cry. It will become a mound covered with ruins. Its villages will be burned to the ground. Then Israel will take back its land from those who took their land from them. I, the Lord, affirm it!

Therefore behold, the days come,” says Yahweh,“ that I will cause an alarm of war to be heard against Rabbah of the children of Ammon; and it will become a desolate heap, and her daughters will be burned with fire: then Israel will possess those who possessed him,” says Yahweh.

（利乏音人的餘民中，只留下巴珊王噩一人；看哪，他的床是鐵的，長四公尺，寬兩公尺，這是按一般的尺寸量度，現在不是還在亞捫人的拉巴嗎？）

你要定出一條路，使刀臨到亞捫的拉巴，又要定出另一條路，使刀臨到猶大，攻擊堅固城耶路撒冷。

在戰爭之日的吶喊中，在風雨天的暴風中；我必在拉巴的城牆放火，燒毀他的堡壘。

過了年，在列王出征的時候，大衛派遣約押和自己的臣僕，以及以色列眾軍一同出征。他們殲滅了亞捫人，並且包圍了拉巴。大衛卻留在耶路撒冷。

所以我要把你交給東方人作產業；他們必在你那裡安營，在你那裡設立居所；他們必吃你的果子，喝你的奶。我必使拉巴成為牧放駱駝的地方，使亞捫人之地成為羊群躺臥之處。你們就知道我是耶和華。主耶和華這樣說：因為你手舞足蹈，心存輕蔑，因以色列地的遭遇而歡喜。

耶和華啊！錫安聽見你的判斷就歡喜，猶大的各城（“各城”原文作“女子”）也都快樂。

以色列人奪取了這一切城，也住在亞摩利人的各城，就是希實本，與屬於希實本的一切村莊。

耶和華憐憫雅各，再揀選以色列，使他們安居在自己的國土上的時候，外族人必與他們聯合，歸屬於雅各家。以色列人必把他們帶回自己的國土去，以色列家必在耶和華所賜的地上得著這些外族人作僕婢；也要擄掠那些擄掠過他們的，並且統治那些欺壓過他們的。耶和華使你脫離痛苦、愁煩、被迫作的苦工，得享安息的日子，

因你的審判，錫安山應當歡喜，猶大的居民（“居民”原文作“女子”）應當快樂。

摩西按著迦得支派的家族把產業分給迦得支派。他們的境界包括雅謝和基列所有的城，以及亞捫人的一半土地，直到拉巴前面的亞羅珥；

你的姊姊是撒瑪利亞，她和她的女兒們住在你的北面；你的妹妹是所多瑪，她和她的女兒們住在你的南面。你不但行她們所行的，作她們所作的可憎之事，而且你還以那些事為小，你一切所行的比她們更壞。我指著我的永生起誓，你的妹妹所多瑪和她的女兒們，都沒有行過像你和你女兒們所行的事。這是主耶和華的宣告。你妹妹所多瑪的罪孽是這樣：她和她的女兒們都驕傲自大，糧食豐足，生活安逸，卻沒有幫助困苦和貧窮的人。她們自高自傲，在我面前行了可憎的事；我看見了，就把她們除掉。撒瑪利亞所犯的罪還不及你所犯的一半；你所行的可憎之事比她更多，以致你的姊妹因你所行的一切可憎之事而顯為義。你既然使你的姊妹較顯為義，你就要承擔自己的恥辱；因為你所犯的罪比她們所犯的更可憎，她們比你更顯為義。你使你的姊妹較顯為義，所以你就要慚愧，承擔自己的恥辱了。“‘我要使所多瑪和她的女兒們，撒瑪利亞和她的女兒們從苦境中轉回，我也要使你們跟她們一起轉回，好使你擔當自己的恥辱，並且因你一切所行的使她們得了安慰，你就自覺慚愧。你的妹妹所多瑪和她的女兒們必回復原來的狀況；撒瑪利亞和她的女兒們必回復原來的狀況；你和你的女兒們也必回復原來的狀況。

論到亞捫，耶和華這樣說：“以色列沒有子孫嗎？沒有後嗣嗎？為甚麼米勒公竟承受了迦得為業呢？它的人民為甚麼住在迦得的城市裡呢？

南地的人必佔有以掃山，低地的人必佔有非利士人之地；他們必佔有以法蓮的田野和撒瑪利亞的田野；便雅憫人必佔有基列。

約押派遣使者去見大衛，說：“我攻打拉巴，已經攻取了水城。現在，請你聚集其餘的人民，安營攻打這城，把城攻取；免得我攻取了這城，人就以我的名字來叫這城。”於是大衛聚集所有的人民，向拉巴進軍；攻打那城，把它攻取了。
