其中募卒、亦若肥犢、災害之日既至、患難之時既臨、則咸轉身而遁、不立而禦敵、

The mercenaries in her ranks are like fattened calves. They too will turn and flee together, they will not stand their ground, for the day of disaster is coming upon them, the time for them to be punished.

Hired soldiers are in Egypt’s army. They are like fat calves. All of them will turn and run away. They will not hold their positions. The day of trouble is coming on them. The time for them to be punished is near.

Even her hired soldiers in her midst are like fattened calves; yes, they have turned and fled together; they did not stand, for the day of their calamity has come upon them, the time of their punishment.

Egypt’s mercenaries have become like fattened calves. They, too, will turn and run, for it is a day of great disaster for Egypt, a time of great punishment.

Even her mercenaries among her are like stall-fed calves. They too will turn back; together they will flee; they will not take their stand, for the day of their calamity is coming on them, the time of their punishment.

Also her mercenaries in her midst Are like fattened calves, For they too have turned away and have fled together; They did not stand their ground. For the day of their disaster has come upon them, The time of their punishment.

原來主早已使亞蘭人的軍兵聽見車聲馬聲和大軍的聲音；他們就彼此說：『啊，這必是以色列王雇了赫人諸王和慕斯利人諸王來攻擊我們的。』

怎麼啦！我看見他們都驚慌，轉身退後呀！他們的勇士被擊敗了，倉倉皇皇逃跑，並不回頭呀！四圍盡是恐怖！永恆主發神諭說。

當我人民遭遇患難的日子，你不應該進他的門呀；當他遭遇患難的日子，你也不應該瞪着眼看他受苦呀；當他遭遇患難的日子，你不應該伸手搶他的財物呀。

主必笑他，因為見他受罰的日子就要來到。

察罰的日子來了，報應的日子到了，以色列必知道的。神言人愚忘，靈感動的人瘋狂，都因你罪孽之大，仇恨之深。

要擊殺她所有的公牛，使他們下去受屠殺。他們有禍啊！因為他們的日子、他們被察罰的時候、到了。

亞捫人見自己成了大衛所厭惡的，就打發人去雇伯利合的亞蘭人和瑣巴的亞蘭人、步兵二萬，又雇了瑪迦王一千人、和陀伯人一萬二千人。

有禍啊那些躺在象牙床上，在床榻上伸着懶腰，喫羣中現挑的羊羔，和棚間之肥牛犢的！

他們最好的也只像荊棘，最正直的也只像籬笆刺；他們的守望者所說的日子、他們被察罰之日、已經來到；其慌慌亂亂就在眼前了。

野牛和牠們一同下屠場，公牛同大力牛也下去。他們的地喝足了血，他們的塵土由脂肪而肥潤。

一分青菜而有相愛，勝過一隻肥牛、而有相恨於其中。

我必像熱東風吹散他們於仇敵面前；當他們遭遇災難的日子，我必以背向着他們，決不以面。』

當察罰的日子、有風暴從遠方趕來，你們要怎樣行呢？你們要向誰逃奔去得救助呢？你們的財寶要撇在哪裏呢？

馬匹上去吧！車輛狂奔吧！勇士出陣哦！手揮盾牌的古實人和弗人哪！拉弓的路德族啊！

『搶掠我產業的啊，你們雖歡喜，雖快樂，雖踹弄草地像母牛犢，又發嘶聲如雄壯的馬，

怎麼啦！阿庇斯逃跑了啊！你的雄壯神牛站立不住？因為永恆主把他推倒了！你中間的雜族人絆跌仆倒，彼此對說。「起來，我們回到我們本族人那裏，回我們出生之地去，好躲避欺壓人的刀劍。」

因為你永懷着仇恨，當以色列人遭遇災難的時候、罪罰到了盡頭的日子、你將他們交付於刀劍之勢力下，

『波斯人路德人弗人在你軍隊中做你的戰士；他們在你中間懸掛着盾牌和頭盔，來彰顯你的壯麗。『亞瓦底人和你的軍隊都在你四圍牆上；你的譙樓上也有歌瑪底人、他們懸掛着擋牌在你四圍牆上，使你的美麗完全。

必有刀劍臨到埃及；在埃及被刺死的人倒斃之時，在古實就有翻騰絞痛的苦情；她的財富必被帶走，它的根基必被拆毁。古實人、弗人、路德人、雜族眾人、呂彼亞人、以及跟他們結盟之地的人：他們都必倒斃於刀下。『永恆主這麼說：那些支持埃及的也必傾覆，她勢力所驕矜的必下來：從密奪到色弗尼人都必在她境內倒斃於刀下：這是主永恆主發神諭說的。

『但是你肥胖了，你粗壯了，你肚滿腸肥了！耶書崙肥胖了、就踢跳，背棄了造他的上帝，辱沒救他的磐石。
