哀哉、主降災之日伊邇、禍患由全能之主、倏然而至、

我使我矢飲血沈醉、使我之刀得肉餐食、飲見擄被殺者之血、食敵軍元帥頭之肉、

論伊及國、即論伊及王法老尼哥之軍旅、屯集於伯拉河濱之迦基密、猶大王約西亞子約雅敬四年、為巴比倫王尼布甲尼撒所擊、耶利米預論此事曰、

疾趨者不得脫逃、有勇者不能避難、在北方伯拉河濱、皆顛蹶傾仆、

爾當哀號、蓋主降罰之日伊邇、大災自全能之主速至、

伊及王不敢再離其國而出徵、因自伊及河至伯拉河、伊及王所得之地、巴比倫王俱取之、○

我見一天使立於日中、向空中飛鳥大聲呼曰、來、集於至大天主之盛筵、食君王之肉、將帥之肉、勇士之肉、馬及乘馬者之肉、自主者、為奴者、無論大小、皆食其肉、我見獸與世之諸王及其眾軍咸集、欲與乘馬者及其軍戰、獸被擒、偽先知曾於獸前行異跡、誘惑受獸印誌及拜獸像者、亦同被擒、二者生投於硫磺火坑中、其餘見殺於乘馬者口中所出之劍、鳥食其肉而飽焉、

主之大日伊邇、其日伊邇、其至甚速、在主之日、哀號之聲徧聞、即勇士亦悲痛號哭、哀號之聲徧聞即勇士亦悲痛號哭或作徧有哀聲武士聞之悲慘號呼是日為震怒之日、患難艱苦之日、拆毀傾覆拆毀傾覆或作荒蕪傾圮之日、幽暗晦冥之日、密雲黑雲之日、

當在主天主前肅敬、主之日伊邇、主已備所將殺者、已區別所將召者、當我耶和華誅戮之日、必罰侯伯與王子及凡衣異邦之衣者、

當在郇吹角、在我聖山吹角、其聲惟洪、在我聖山吹角其聲惟洪或作在我聖山吹號筒使斯地之居民震動、因主降災之日至也、已近矣、

蓋復仇之日、已在我心、贖我民之時已屆矣、

宣告主之禧年、及我天主復仇之日、慰藉凡悲哀者、

惟爾人子、主天主如是云、爾告各類飛鳥、及諸野獸、曰、我為爾大行殺戮於以色列山岡、爾當聚集、至自四方、食肉飲血、食勇士之肉、飲國君之血、得食牡綿羊與羔、牡山羊與牛、俱肥牲出自巴珊、我為爾行殺戮、爾得飽食其脂、酣飲其血、爾在我席必饜飫、食馬與乘者、勇士及一切戰士、此乃主天主所言、我必彰顯我榮於異邦、使諸國之民、見我所行之罰、及我手所作所作原文作所置於其中、及我手所作於其中或作及我之大能施展於其中

蓋是日乃譴責之日、為應凡載於經者、

主曰、我之刃浸潤在天、浸潤在天或作在天如醉我使臨於以東、臨於我所擬定滅亡之民、施行懲罰、主之刃飽以血、潤以脂、飽以羔羊山羊之血、潤以牡綿羊腰之脂、蓋主在波斯拉行殺戮、在以東大行誅殛、野牛牛犢與牡牛同遭屠戮、以東之地、被血浸潤、土壤因脂肥澤、因主有復仇之日、有為郇伸冤報復之年、

當自巴比倫逃遁、各救己命、勿罹其罪而亡、此主復仇之時、施報於巴比倫、
