Everyone was to free their Hebrew slaves, both male and female; no one was to hold a fellow Hebrew in bondage.

All of them had to do this. That applied to male and female slaves alike. No one was allowed to hold another Hebrew as a slave.

that everyone should set free his Hebrew slaves, male and female, so that no one should enslave a Jew, his brother.

He had ordered all the people to free their Hebrew slaves— both men and women. No one was to keep a fellow Judean in bondage.

彼希伯來人、余亦然、彼以色列人、余亦然、彼亞伯拉罕裔、余亦然、

方伯庶民、既立當釋僕婢毋使供役之約、皆從之、

邦國眾多、列王顯赫、必使迦勒底人為其服役、視其所行、而加報施。

如爾同儕、希伯來人、或男或女、自鬻於爾、六年服役、越至七年、必釋之。

列國之人必服事之、爰及子孫、屆滅國之期而後已、厥後邦國眾多、列王顯赫、必使巴比倫王供其服役。

我昔被掠出希百來境、在此我亦未嘗妄作、而人乃幽囚我。

以色列長老必聽從爾、爾與之覲埃及王曰、希百來族之上帝耶和華、已降臨於我、請許我詣野、歷程三日、以祭我上帝耶和華。

如宗族貧乏、自鬻於爾、勿視若奴、當偕爾居、如傭人旅人然、供爾役事、以待禧年、屆期、彼及子女、必去爾家、仍歸其所、復得前人遺業。昔我導以色列族出埃及、為我臣僕、故不得鬻為賤役、勿治以嚴、宜畏爾之上帝。異邦之民、來自四方者、可購為僕婢。外人旅於爾中、生於爾地者、可購而得之、遺於子孫、恆為爾僕、惟以色列人為爾宗族、勿治以嚴。

而爾則害兄弟虧兄弟、

我非利士人、當強我志、自為豪傑、不服役於希百來族、如彼疇昔服役於我、當為豪傑、而與之戰。

余生八日、即受割禮、固以色列裔冑便雅憫支派也、世為希伯來人、以教法言之、則為𠵽唎㘔人、

萬有之主耶和華曰、予當斯時、將折懸項之軛、斷其縶維、不許異邦人役爾。

非利士人聞號呼之聲、則曰、希百來營號呼曷故。問之於人。知耶和華之匱已至於營。

二人遂出、使非利士人觀瞻。非利士人曰、希百來人素匿於巢穴、今已出矣。
