They built high places for Baal in the Valley of Ben Hinnom to sacrifice their sons and daughters to Molek, though I never commanded— nor did it enter my mind— that they should do such a detestable thing and so make Judah sin.

循以色列諸王之道、為巴力鑄像、焚香於欣嫩子谷、以火焚其子女、從異邦可憎之事、即耶和華於以色列人前、所逐諸族之事、

又污衊欣嫩子谷之陀斐特、免人使其子女經火、以奉摩洛、

緣其犯罪、行耶和華所惡、循耶羅波安之道、干其陷以色列人之罪、

為巴力建崇邱、火焚其子為燔祭、獻於巴力、此事非我所命所言、亦非我心所思、故耶和華曰、時日將至、此地不復稱陀斐特、亦不稱欣嫩子谷、惟稱殺戮谷、

告以色列族云、凡以色列族、及旅於其中者、以子女獻摩洛、殺無赦、斯土之民以石擊之、以子女獻摩洛、乃污我聖所、凟我聖名、我必怒之、絕於民中、若斯土之民、見其獻子女於摩洛、佯為不見、不致之死、我必怒之、與其眷屬、及凡狥欲從摩洛者、絕之民中、

爾於茂橡綠樹之下、縱厥淫欲、山谷石窟之間、殺戮子女、

瑪拿西誘猶大及耶路撒冷居民、致其行惡、較耶和華於以色列人前、所滅之族尤甚、

因猶大王瑪拿西行此可憎之事、較亞摩利人作惡尤甚、使猶大人因其偶像而陷於罪、

又取為我而生之子女、獻之於彼、俾其吞噬、爾之行淫、豈為細故、致殺我子女、付於偶像、使之經火乎、

緣耶羅波安所犯之罪、使以色列人陷之、耶和華必棄以色列族、

獻其子女、以祭鬼神兮、流無辜之血、即其子女之血、以祭迦南偶像、其地為血所污兮、

因耶羅波安所犯之罪、使以色列人陷之、激以色列上帝耶和華之怒、

彼行淫、手染血、狥欲於偶像、使其為我而生之男經火、而奉獻之、至於殄滅、

拿答行耶和華所惡、循父之道、干父陷以色列人之罪、

其前夫既出之、為人所玷、勿復娶之、此乃耶和華所惡者、爾上帝耶和華所賜為業之地、不可污之、

昔尼八子耶羅波安、在伯特利築壇及崇邱、陷以色列人於罪者、王悉毀之、焚其邱壇、搗之成粉、並焚木偶、

謂亞倫曰、斯民於爾何為、使陷重罪、

惟從尼八子耶羅波安陷以色列人之罪、不離棄之、○

凡使子女經火者、卜筮者、觀兆者、用法術者、行邪術者、

我之行此、乃因其人棄我、崇拜西頓人之女神亞斯他錄、摩押之神基抹、亞捫族之神米勒公、不從我道、行我所悅、不守我之典章律例、如父大衛所為、

亦必使爾家、如尼八子耶羅波安之家、亦如亞希雅子巴沙之家、緣爾激我震怒、使以色列族陷罪、
