My tent is destroyed; all its ropes are snapped. My children are gone from me and are no more; no one is left now to pitch my tent or to set up my shelter.

Jerusalem is like a tent that has been destroyed. All its ropes have snapped. My people have gone away from me. Now no one is left to set up my tent. I have no one to set up my shelter.

My tent is destroyed, and all my cords are broken; my children have gone from me, and they are not; there is no one to spread my tent again and to set up my curtains.

當廓爾居、張爾幕、索必長、釘必固、勿怠爾事。

今日覿面、明日不能復見、甚恐轉瞬間、即歸烏有。

郇民屢犯、耶和華責之兮、敵人亨通、挾制邑民、虜其赤子兮。

惡者顛沛、歸於消亡、義人之家、恆存鞏固。

我以道傳爾、以手庇爾、我張舒穹蒼、奠定寰宇、謂郇邑之人、乃我赤子、

怒烈如火、挽弓若敵、舉手若仇兮、凡在郇邑、可以娛目者、則殺戮之兮。主視民若敵、吞噬以色列兮、毀其宮室、墮其城垣、使猶大民憂愁靡已兮。主之殿宇、彼摧折之、若毀園中之亭榭兮、民會之所、亦俾其荒圮兮、昔在郇邑有大會之時、有安息之日、今盡遺忘、耶和華使之然兮、主赫斯怒、則王公祭司為所藐視兮。

昔爾赤子、流離遠徙、一旦旋歸、皆告爾曰、壤地褊小、其恢廓之、則我得所棲止。爾將謂焉得有是子耶、我子流離、自為鰥獨、見擄驅逐、伶仃無依、今此子果誰育之哉。主耶和華又曰、我舉手張旆、以召異邦人、彼必提抱爾子、肩負爾女。
