When I came, why was there no one? When I called, why was there no one to answer? Was my arm too short to deliver you? Do I lack the strength to rescue you? By a mere rebuke I dry up the sea, I turn rivers into a desert; their fish rot for lack of water and die of thirst.

When I came to save you, why didn’t anyone welcome me? When I called out to you, why didn’t anyone answer me? Wasn’t I powerful enough to set you free? Wasn’t I strong enough to save you? 耶和華非手短而不能救、非耳聾而不能聽、

自上而下之水、遂立為堆、相離甚遠、在撒拉但旁之亞當邑、其流於亞拉巴鹽海之水悉絕、民乃由耶利哥相對之處而濟、

耶和華豈有難行之事哉、屆期、我將復至、撒拉必生子、

其至己所屬、而屬己者弗受也、

我必命爾亡於鋒刃、使爾屈身受戮、因我有命爾不應、有言爾不從、行我所惡、擇我所不悅也、○

我亦遣我僕諸先知、夙興而遣之曰、爾各轉離惡途、改正其行、不從他神而服事之、則得居於我所錫爾、及爾列祖之地、惟爾不側耳以聽、不從我言、

河魚將亡、河水將臭、埃及人厭飲其水、

彼見無人、異其無保、遂以己臂自行拯救、以己義自為扶持、

耶和華曾闢路於滄海、備途於巨浸、

必使山岡荒蕪、草木枯槁、江河為洲、池沼盡涸、

河魚盡斃、河水悉臭、埃及人不能飲其水、通國有血、

爰叱紅海、其海乃涸、導之涉深、如履原野兮、

我召爾、爾弗從、我伸手、莫之顧、

先知召之愈殷、彼則離之愈遠、獻祭於巴力、焚香於雕像、

今爾聞角簫琵琶琴瑟笙、及各樂器之音、願伏拜我所製之像、則可、若不拜之、必即時投於烈火之爐、何神能拯爾於我手耶、

彼變江河為曠野、源泉為燥土、

使滄海竭、巨浸涸、深淵為途、俾見贖之民得以經過、豈非爾乎、

我民決志違離我、雖有召之向上、興者迄無一人、

既近於洞、哀聲呼但以理曰、維生上帝之僕但以理歟、爾恆事之上帝、能救爾脫於獅害乎、

爾其往來於耶路撒冷之衢、於其寬廣之區察視之、索一行公義求信實者、若有之、我必宥斯邑、

我今頒詔、各民各國、各方言者、凡謗沙得拉米煞亞伯尼歌之上帝、必解其體、使其室為糞場、蓋無他神能行拯救若是、

列邦之神、誰拯其國脫於我手、耶和華能拯耶路撒冷脫於我手乎、

耶穌興、斥風、謂海曰、靜而息、風即止、乃大平安、

導民涉深淵、若馬行原野、不致顚躓、

我觀之、中無一人、亦無謀士、我詰之、無能答一詞者、

海水將絕、河涸而乾、

海見之而逃遁、約但返流兮、山嶽踴躍如牡羊、岡陵踴躍如羔羊兮、海歟、爾何為而逃遁、約但歟、爾何為而返流、山嶽歟、爾何為踴躍如牡羊、岡陵歟、爾何為踴躍如羔羊、爾大地歟、其顫動於主前、雅各之上帝前兮、

彼施拯救、在天在地、行神蹟奇事、今救但以理脫於獅勢、

勿為希西家所欺、勿為所誘、勿信其言、蓋無一邦一族之神、能拯其民於我、及我列祖之手、況爾上帝、豈能拯爾脫於我手乎、

是鞫也、因光臨世、而人愛暗愈於光、以其行惡也、

我傾耳以聽、彼不言正直、無人悔其惡行、曰、噫、我所為何事、彼各行其道、若馬之奔馳於陳、
