O sky, rain down from above! Let the clouds send down showers of deliverance! Let the earth absorb it so salvation may grow, and deliverance may sprout up along with it. I, the LORD, create it.

For just as the ground produces its crops and a garden yields its produce, so the sovereign LORD will cause deliverance to grow, and give his people reason to praise him in the sight of all the nations.

Sow righteousness for yourselves, reap unfailing love. Break up the unplowed ground for yourselves, for it is time to seek the LORD, until he comes and showers deliverance on you.

On that day the mountains will drip with sweet wine, and the hills will flow with milk. All the dry stream beds of Judah will flow with water. A spring will flow out from the temple of the LORD, watering the Valley of Acacia Trees.

Certainly his loyal followers will soon experience his deliverance; then his splendor will again appear in our land.Loyal love and faithfulness meet; deliverance and peace greet each other with a kiss.Faithfulness grows from the ground, and deliverance looks down from the sky.Yes, the LORD will bestow his good blessings, and our land will yield its crops.

He will descend like rain on the mown grass, like showers that drench the earth.

All of your people will be godly; they will possess the land permanently. I will plant them like a shoot; they will be the product of my labor, through whom I reveal my splendor.

I planted, Apollos watered, but God caused it to grow.So neither the one who plants counts for anything, nor the one who waters, but God who causes the growth.The one who plants and the one who waters work as one, but each will receive his reward according to his work.We are coworkers belonging to God. You are God’s field, God’s building.

For I will pour water on the parched ground and cause streams to flow on the dry land. I will pour my spirit on your offspring and my blessing on your children.

The mountains will bring news of peace to the people, and the hills will announce justice.

A shoot will grow out of Jesse’s root stock, a bud will sprout from his roots.

At that time the crops given by the LORD will bring admiration and honor; the produce of the land will be a source of pride and delight to those who remain in Israel.

He sprouted up like a twig before God, like a root out of parched soil; he had no stately form or majesty that might catch our attention, no special appearance that we should want to follow him.

( 3: 1) After all of this I will pour out my Spirit on all kinds of people. Your sons and daughters will prophesy. Your elderly will have revelatory dreams; your young men will see prophetic visions.Even on male and female servants I will pour out my Spirit in those days.

For we too were once foolish, disobedient, misled, enslaved to various passions and desires, spending our lives in evil and envy, hateful and hating one another.But“ when the kindness of God our Savior and his love for mankind appeared,he saved us not by works of righteousness that we have done but on the basis of his mercy, through the washing of the new birth and the renewing of the Holy Spirit,whom he poured out on us in full measure through Jesus Christ our Savior.

For look, I am ready to create new heavens and a new earth! The former ones will not be remembered; no one will think about them anymore.But be happy and rejoice forevermore over what I am about to create! For look, I am ready to create Jerusalem to be a source of joy, and her people to be a source of happiness.

This desolation will continue until new life is poured out on us from heaven. Then the desert will become an orchard and the orchard will be considered a forest.

So then, exalted to the right hand of God, and having received the promise of the Holy Spirit from the Father, he has poured out what you both see and hear.

to strengthen those who mourn in Zion, by giving them a turban, instead of ashes, oil symbolizing joy, instead of mourning, a garment symbolizing praise, instead of discouragement. They will be called oaks of righteousness, trees planted by the LORD to reveal his splendor.

and to put on the new man who has been created in God’s image– in righteousness and holiness that comes from truth.

“ For just as the new heavens and the new earth I am about to make will remain standing before me,” says the LORD,“ so your descendants and your name will remain.

For we are his workmanship, having been created in Christ Jesus for good works that God prepared beforehand so we may do them.

I will turn them and the regions around my hill into a blessing. I will make showers come down in their season; they will be showers that bring blessing.
