耶和华说：‘以色列人啊，你们是我的证人，我拣选你们做我的仆人，要叫你们认识我，相信我，明白我是耶和华，在我以前没有上帝，在我以后也没有。

“ You are my witnesses,” declares the Lord,“ and my servant whom I have chosen, so that you may know and believe me and understand that I am he. Before me no god was formed, nor will there be one after me.

谁成就了这事？谁在太初就掌管历史的方向？是我耶和华，我太初就在那里，末了也在那里。

“你们这些悖逆的人啊，要将这些事铭记在心。你们要记住古时发生的事，因为我是独一无二的上帝，再没有谁能与我相比。

这样，从日出之地到日落之处，普天下都知道除我以外，别无他神，我耶和华独一无二。

我曾启示，我曾拯救，我曾宣告。你们中间没有别的神明。我是上帝，你们是我的证人。’这是耶和华说的。

“耶和华，以色列的君王和救赎主，万军之耶和华说，‘我是首先的，我是末后的，除我以外再没有真神。谁能与我相比？让他告诉我。自从我设立这古老的民族以来所发生的事和将要发生的事，让他告诉我。不要恐惧，不要害怕，我不是早已告诉过你们吗？你们是我的证人。除我以外还有真神吗？没有，没有别的磐石，一个也没有。’”

难道你们不知道吗？难道你们没有听过吗？难道不是从起初就告诉过你们吗？难道从大地奠立根基以来，你们一直没有明白吗？上帝的宝座设立在大地的圆圈之上，地上的人类好像蚱蜢。祂铺展诸天，就像铺展幔子、铺展人居住的帐篷。

反而甘愿放下一切，取了奴仆的形象，降生为人的样子。

“然而，以色列啊，你是我的仆人；雅各啊，你是我拣选的，是我朋友亚伯拉罕的后裔。

他来是要为光做见证，叫世人可以借着他而相信。约翰不是那光，他来是为那光做见证。

“看啊，我所扶持、所拣选、所喜悦的仆人，我已将我的灵赐给祂，祂必将正义带给万邦。

人一看就知道，一想就明白，这是耶和华亲手成就的，是以色列的圣者创造的。”

但圣灵降临在你们身上后，你们必得到能力，在耶路撒冷、犹太全境和撒玛利亚，直到地极，做我的见证人。”

而记载这些事的目的是为了使你们相信耶稣就是基督，是上帝的儿子，并且使你们这些信祂的人可以靠祂的名得到生命。

约翰便为自己所看见的一切——上帝的道和耶稣基督做见证。

这福音是你们从我们亲爱的同工以巴弗那里得知的。他代表我们做基督的忠仆，

而且，我们就是在为上帝做假见证，因为我们见证上帝已经使基督复活了。如果没有死人复活的事，上帝也就没有叫基督复活。

我使他统管万民，向万民做见证。

“你要写信告诉老底嘉教会的天使，那位实实在在、诚信无伪的见证人，就是上帝所造万物的元首说，

你们也要为我做见证，因为你们从开始就与我在一起。
