In those days Hezekiah became ill and was at the point of death. The prophet Isaiah son of Amoz went to him and said,“ This is what the Lord says: Put your house in order, because you are going to die; you will not recover.”

是時希西家遘疾瀕死、亞摩斯子先知以賽亞來見之、曰、主如是云、爾當傳遺命於爾家、因爾必死、不能生矣、希西家面壁禱主曰、求主垂念我、在主前行動誠實、一心不貳、行善於主前、希西家哭甚哀、主諭以賽亞曰、爾往告希西家曰、主爾祖大衛之天主如是云、我已聞爾禱、已見爾淚、我必增爾壽十五年、並救爾與此城脫於亞述王手、必捍衛此城、主必驗所言、有一事可以為徵、主曰、亞哈斯所作之日晷、我必使前進之日影、後退十度、於是前進之日影、果後退十度、○

其時希西家遘疾瀕死、禱於主、主允之、示以異跡、

是時希西家遘疾瀕死、亞摩斯子先知以賽亞來見之、曰、主如是云、爾當遺命於家、因爾必死、不能生矣、希西家面壁禱主曰、求主垂念我在主前行動誠實、一心不貳、行善於主前、希西家哭甚哀、以賽亞出、尚未至中院、或作以賽亞尚未出中院遂蒙主默示、命之曰、爾返告我民之君希西家曰、主爾祖大衛之天主如是云、我已聞爾禱、已見爾淚、必愈爾病、至第三日、必得上我殿、我必增爾壽十五年、必救爾與此城脫於亞述王手、我必為己、又為我僕大衛之故、捍衛此城、以賽亞曰、當取一無花果餅、遂取之、敷於王之患處、王即愈、未愈之先、希西家問以賽亞曰、主使我痊愈、至第三日得上主殿、以何為徵、以賽亞曰、主必應所言、有一事可以為徵、爾欲日影前進十度乎、或後退十度乎、希西家曰、影前進十度、尚為易事、我欲影後退十度、先知以賽亞籲主、主使亞哈斯日晷上前進之影後退十度、○

亞希多弗見不用其計、則備驢返故邑、至己家、留遺言、自縊而死、葬於父墓、○

如我言、某邦某國、當敗當毀當滅、我所言之國、如改其惡行、則我亦改我旨、不降所欲降之災、如我言、某邦某國、當建當植、如其邦國行惡於我前、不聽我命、則我亦改我旨、不降所言欲降之福、

有病者、名拉撒路、居伯他尼、乃瑪利亞瑪他姊妹之村、此瑪利亞即以香膏膏主、以髮拭主足者、彼病者拉撒路、乃其兄也、姊妹遣人往告耶穌曰、主、爾所愛者病矣、耶穌聞之曰、此病不致死、乃為天主之榮、使天主之子、因此得榮、夫耶穌愛瑪他與其妹及拉撒路、

彼果病瀕死、惟天主矜恤之、不但矜恤彼、亦矜恤我、免我憂上加憂、故我遣之愈急、使爾復見之而喜、亦可少解我憂、爾當為主歡然接之、而敬重如是之人、彼為基督之事、瀕死不顧己命、欲補爾事我之不足、
