The LORD will give a mighty shout and intervene in power, with furious anger and flaming, destructive fire, with a driving rainstorm and hailstones.

主將使人聞其威聲、赫赫震怒、以猛火之烈焰、與暴風急雨大雹、顯其臂之能力、

The Lord will cause people to hear his majestic voice and will make them see his arm coming down with raging anger and consuming fire, with cloudburst, thunderstorm and hail.

The Lord will cause people to hear his powerful voice. He will make them see his arm coming down to punish them. It will come down with burning anger and destroying fire. It will come down with rain, thunderstorms and hail.

And the Lord will cause his majestic voice to be heard and the descending blow of his arm to be seen, in furious anger and a flame of devouring fire, with a cloudburst and storm and hailstones.

And the Lord will make his majestic voice heard. He will display the strength of his mighty arm. It will descend with devouring flames, with cloudbursts, thunderstorms, and huge hailstones.

And the LORD will make the splendor of his voice heard and reveal his arm striking in angry wrath and a flame of consuming fire, in driving rain, a torrent, and hailstones.

And the Lord will cause His voice of authority to be heard, And the descending of His arm to be seen in fierce anger, And in the flame of a consuming fire In cloudburst, downpour, and hailstones.

The Lord will cause His glorious voice to be heard, And show the descent of His arm, With the indignation of His anger And the flame of a devouring fire, With scattering, tempest, and hailstones.

And Jehovah will cause his glorious voice to be heard, and will show the lighting down of his arm, with the indignation of his anger, and the flame of a devouring fire, with a blast, and tempest, and hailstones.

And the Lord will make the splendor of His voice heard and reveal His arm striking in angry wrath and a flame of consuming fire, in driving rain, a torrent, and hailstones.

The LORD thundered in the sky; the sovereign One shouted.He shot his arrows and scattered them, many lightning bolts and routed them.

As they fled from Israel on the slope leading down from Beth Horon, the LORD threw down on them large hailstones from the sky, all the way to Azekah. They died– in fact, more died from the hailstones than the Israelites killed with the sword.

Judgment will come from the LORD who commands armies, accompanied by thunder, earthquake, and a loud noise, by a strong gale, a windstorm, and a consuming flame of fire.

The LORD is a zealous and avenging God; the LORD is avenging and very angry. The LORD takes vengeance against his foes; he sustains his rage against his enemies.The LORD is slow to anger but great in power; the LORD will certainly not allow the wicked to go unpunished. He marches out in the whirlwind and the raging storm; dark storm clouds billow like dust under his feet.He shouts a battle cry against the seaand makes it dry up; he makes all the rivers run dry. Bashan and Carmel wither; the blossom of Lebanon withers.The mountains tremble before him, the hills convulse; the earth is laid waste before him, the world and all its inhabitants are laid waste.No one can withstand his indignation! No one can resist his fierce anger! His wrath is poured out like volcanic fire, boulders are broken up as he approaches.

Then there were flashes of lightning, roaring, and crashes of thunder, and there was a tremendous earthquake– an earthquake unequaled since humanity has been on the earth, so tremendous was that earthquake.The great city was split into three parts and the cities of the nations collapsed. So Babylon the great was remembered before God, and was given the cup filled with the wine made of God’s furious wrath.Every island fled away and no mountains could be found.And gigantic hailstones, weighing about a hundred pounds each, fell from heaven on people, but they blasphemed God because of the plague of hail, since it was so horrendous.

In my zeal, in the fire of my fury, I declare that on that day there will be a great earthquake in the land of Israel.The fish of the sea, the birds of the sky, the wild beasts, all the things that creep on the ground, and all people who live on the face of the earth will shake at my presence. The mountains will topple, the cliffs will fall, and every wall will fall to the ground.I will call for a sword to attack Gog on all my mountains, declares the sovereign LORD; every man’s sword will be against his brother.I will judge him with plague and bloodshed. I will rain down on him, his troops and the many peoples who are with him a torrential downpour, hailstones, fire, and brimstone.

Then the temple of God in heaven was opened and the ark of his covenant was visible within his temple. And there were flashes of lightning, roaring, crashes of thunder, an earthquake, and a great hailstorm.

Look, the sovereign master sends a strong, powerful one. With the force of a hailstorm or a destructive windstorm, with the might of a driving, torrential rainstorm, he will knock that crown to the ground with his hand.

With flaming fire he will mete out punishment on those who do not know God and do not obey the gospel of our Lord Jesus.

Even if the forest is destroyed and the city is annihilated,

For nation will rise up in arms against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. And there will be famines and earthquakes in various places.

The mountains will disintegrate beneath him, and the valleys will be split in two. The mountains will melt like wax in a fire, the rocks will slide down like water cascading down a steep slope.

The bravehearted were plundered; they“ fell asleep.” All the warriors were helpless.At the sound of your battle cry, O God of Jacob, both rider and horse“ fell asleep.”You are awesome! Yes, you! Who can withstand your intense anger?From heaven you announced what their punishment would be. The earth was afraid and silent

Sing to the LORD a new song, for he performs amazing deeds! His right hand and his mighty arm accomplish deliverance.

The LORD swears an oath by his right hand, by his strong arm:“ I will never again give your grain to your enemies as food, and foreigners will not drink your wine, which you worked hard to produce.

So the one seated on the cloud swung his sickle over the earth, and the earth was reaped.Then another angel came out of the temple in heaven, and he too had a sharp sickle.Another angel, who was in charge of the fire, came from the altar and called in a loud voice to the angel who had the sharp sickle,“ Use your sharp sickle and gather the clusters of grapes off the vine of the earth, because its grapes are now ripe.”So the angel swung his sickle over the earth and gathered the grapes from the vineyard of the earth and tossed them into the great winepress of the wrath of God.Then the winepress was stomped outside the city, and blood poured out of the winepress up to the height of horses’ bridles for a distance of almost two hundred miles.

Fear and dread will fall on them; by the greatness of your arm they will be as still as stone until your people pass by, O LORD, until the people whom you have bought pass by.

The LORD’s shout is heard over the water; the majestic God thunders, the LORD appears over the surging water.The LORD’s shout is powerful, the LORD’s shout is majestic.The LORD’s shout breaks the cedars, the LORD shatters the cedars of Lebanon.He makes Lebanon skip like a calf and Sirion like a young ox.The LORD’s shout strikes with flaming fire.The LORD’s shout shakes the wilderness, the LORD shakes the wilderness of Kadesh.The LORD’s shout bends the large trees and strips the leaves from the forests. Everyone in his temple says,“ Majestic!”

El, God, the LORD speaks, and summons the earth to come from the east and west.From Zion, the most beautiful of all places, God comes in splendor.Our God approaches and is not silent; consuming fire goes ahead of him and all around him a storm rages.

Then he angrily speaks to them and terrifies them in his rage, saying,

Listen carefully to the thunder of his voice, to the rumbling that proceeds from his mouth.Under the whole heaven he lets it go, even his lightning to the far corners of the earth.After that a voice roars; he thunders with an exalted voice, and he does not hold back his lightning bolts when his voice is heard.God thunders with his voice in marvelous ways; he does great things beyond our understanding.

Nations are in uproar, kingdoms are overthrown. God gives a shout, the earth dissolves.

His feet were like polished bronze refined in a furnace, and his voice was like the roar of many waters.

Wake up! Wake up! Clothe yourself with strength, O arm of the LORD! Wake up as in former times, as in antiquity! Did you not smash the Proud One? Did you not wound the sea monster?

Then I looked when the Lamb opened the sixth seal, and a huge earthquake took place; the sun became as black as sackcloth made of hair, and the full moon became blood red;and the stars in the sky fell to the earth like a fig tree dropping its unripe figs when shaken by a fierce wind.The sky was split apart like a scroll being rolled up, and every mountain and island was moved from its place.Then the kings of the earth, the very important people, the generals, the rich, the powerful, and everyone, slave and free, hid themselves in the caves and among the rocks of the mountains.They said to the mountains and to the rocks,“ Fall on us and hide us from the face of the one who is seated on the throne and from the wrath of the Lamb,because the great day of their wrath has come, and who is able to withstand it?”

Do you have an arm as powerful as God’s, and can you thunder with a voice like his?

Fire goes before him; on every side it burns up his enemies.His lightning bolts light up the world; the earth sees and trembles.The mountains melt like wax before the LORD, before the Lord of the whole earth.

He has demonstrated power with his arm; he has scattered those whose pride wells up from the sheer arrogance of their hearts.

The sound of the wings of the cherubim could be heard from the outer court, like the sound of the sovereign God when he speaks.

As Samuel was offering burnt offerings, the Philistines approached to do battle with Israel. But on that day the LORD thundered loudly against the Philistines. He caused them to panic, and they were defeated by Israel.
