The poorest of the poor will find pasture, and the needy will lie down in safety. But your root I will destroy by famine; it will slay your survivors.

Even the poorest people in Israel will have plenty to eat. Those who are in need will lie down in safety. But I will destroy your families. They will die of hunger. I will kill any of them who are still left alive.

主必賜下雨水給你播在地裡的種子，並要使地裡出肥美豐盛的糧食。到那日，你的牲畜將在寬闊的草場上吃草；耕地的牛和驢將吃調過味的飼料，是用鏟和叉揚淨的。

這人必居於高處，他的庇護所是堅固的磐石；他的糧必被供應，他的水必不斷絕。

「『希西加啊，以下是給你的徵兆：今年你們會吃自生的，第二年你們會吃自長的，而第三年你們將播種、收割，栽種葡萄園，吃其中的果實。

亞實基倫看見就害怕，迦薩在痛苦中掙扎；以革倫也如此，因為她所仰望的蒙羞了。君王必從迦薩消亡，亞實基倫必無人居住。混雜的種族必住在阿實圖；我必剪除非利士人的驕傲，我必除掉他們口中的血，以及他們牙齒之間的可憎之物。他們也必作為餘剩者歸於我們的神，像猶大的一族；以革倫人必像耶布斯人那樣。

那時，羊羔必來吃草，如同在自己的草場；寄居者也在富有人的廢墟中吃食。

因此，主耶和華如此說：「看哪，我的僕人們必有吃的，你們卻會挨餓！看哪，我的僕人們必有喝的，你們卻會口渴！看哪，我的僕人們必歡喜，你們卻會蒙羞！看哪，我的僕人們因心中高興而歡呼，你們卻因心中傷痛而呼號、因靈裡破碎而哀號！

他們在右邊割肉，還是飢餓；在左邊吞噬，仍不飽足；各人竟吞噬自己膀臂的肉。

毀壞與破敗，饑荒與刀劍，這兩組事情已經臨到你，誰會為你悲哀呢？誰會安慰你呢？

他們必經過這地，遭困苦，受飢餓。他們飢餓的時候就發怒，仰面朝天，詛咒自己的君王和自己的神；

你們怎麼敢壓碎我的子民，碾磨困苦人的臉呢？」這是主萬軍之耶和華的宣告。
