彼曰、我有智有能、克勝鄰邦、虜其財、得其地、惟自恃其能而為之。

彼曰、我移列國之界、擄掠其財、誠如有能者、誠如有能者或作我英勇超群使坐國位者卑降、我行此事、惟倚己臂之力、恃己之智慧、因我明哲、

For he says:“‘ By the strength of my hand I have done this, and by my wisdom, because I have understanding. I removed the boundaries of nations, I plundered their treasures; like a mighty one I subdued their kings.

The king of Assyria says,“‘ By my power I have taken over all these nations. I am very wise. I have great understanding. I have wiped out the borders between nations. I’ve taken their treasures. Like a great hero I’ve brought their kings under my control.

For he says:“ By the strength of my hand I have done it, and by my wisdom, for I have understanding; I remove the boundaries of peoples, and plunder their treasures; like a bull I bring down those who sit on thrones.

He boasts,“ By my own powerful arm I have done this. With my own shrewd wisdom I planned it. I have broken down the defenses of nations and carried off their treasures. I have knocked down their kings like a bull.

For he said: I have done this by my own strength and wisdom, for I am clever. I abolished the borders of nations and plundered their treasures; like a mighty warrior, I subjugated the inhabitants.

For he has said,“ By the power of my hand and by my wisdom I did this, Because I have understanding; And I removed the boundaries of the peoples And plundered their treasures, And like a powerful man I brought down their inhabitants,

曰、此非大巴比倫、我以大能大力建為王都、彰我威榮乎、

彼於昆弟中雖結實、而東風將來、即耶和華之風起自原野、使其源竭泉涸、掠其所藏之寶器、撒瑪利亞悖逆其上帝、必負厥咎、仆於鋒刃、嬰孩被碎、孕婦被刳、

亞述王自巴比倫、古他、亞瓦、哈馬、西法瓦音、移人置於撒瑪利亞之邑、以代以色列人、遂據撒瑪利亞、居其諸邑、

亞述王虜以色列人至亞述、置於哈臘與歌散之哈博河濱、及瑪代諸邑、

曰、我之牧伯、非皆為王乎、

迨我來遷爾至一地、如爾故土、有穀、有酒、有食品、及葡萄園、橄欖樹、與蜜、使爾生存、不至死亡、希西家勸爾曰、耶和華必拯我儕、勿聽其言、

人子歟、當謂推羅君曰、主耶和華云、爾心驕泰、自謂我為上帝、坐上帝之位於海中、居心同乎上帝、爾仍為人、非上帝也、爾智過於但以理、無所隱於汝、以爾智慧明哲、而得貨財、藏金銀於府庫、以大智暨貿易、增益富厚、因而中心驕泰、故主耶和華曰、因爾居心同乎上帝、我必使異邦人、即列國之強暴者至、彼必拔刃、毀爾智慧之美、污衊爾之榮光、使爾陷於坎阱、如被戮者沒於海中、爾豈得謂殺爾者曰、我為上帝乎、爾在戕爾者之手、則為人、非上帝矣、

主耶和華云、埃及王法老乎、我為爾敵、爾乃巨鱷、臥於河中、自謂河為我有、我為己造之、

獻祭於其罟、焚香於其網、因其由此所得者肥、所食者豐也、

以色列王比加在位時、亞述王提革拉毘列色至、取以雲、亞伯伯瑪迦、亞挪、基低斯、夏瑣、基列、加利利、拿弗他利全地、虜其居民、至亞述、

人子歟、推羅人論耶路撒冷曰、嘻嘻、眾民之門已破、皆歸於我、彼既荒涼、我必恢廓、

亞哈斯以耶和華室與王宮府庫、所有之金銀、餽亞述王、

曰、爾亞捫族、宜聽主耶和華之言、主耶和華曰、昔我聖所玷污、以色列地荒蕪、猶大家被虜、爾則曰、嘻嘻、

恐爾自謂、得此貨財、乃我之能、與我之力、

何細亞九年、亞述王取撒瑪利亞、徙以色列人至亞述、置於哈臘與歌散之哈博河濱、及瑪代諸邑、

爾所侮所謗者為誰、向誰揚爾聲、高爾目、乃以色列之聖者也、爾藉臣僕侮主、曰我率眾車陟於山巔、至利巴嫩之深處、伐其香柏之高者、松木之美者、將入其境之極處、即腴壤之森林、我已掘地而飲水、將以足掌涸竭埃及之河、

以色列之上帝聳動亞述二王、普勒與提革拉毘尼色之心、遂虜流便人、迦得人、及瑪拿西半支派、至哈臘、哈博、哈拉、及歌散河濱、迄於今日、

爾所侮所謗者為誰、向誰揚爾聲、高爾目、乃以色列之聖者也、爾藉使者侮主云、我率眾車陟於山巔、至利巴嫩之深處、伐其香柏之高者、松木之美者、將入其境之極處、即腴壤之森林、我已掘井而飲異地之水、將以足掌涸竭埃及之河、

虛無是喜、乃曰我儕之角、非以己力而得乎、

希西家以耶和華室與王宮府庫、所有之銀餽之、

故我必使爾被虜至大馬色外、名為萬軍之上帝耶和華言之矣、安逸於錫安、優游於撒瑪利亞山、著名列邦之首、以色列家所歸者、其人禍哉、爾其往甲尼而觀、自彼至哈馬大邑、下至非利士之迦特、其邑豈愈於此國乎、其境豈廣於爾境乎、
