我訓練他們，使他們臂膀強壯，他們卻陰謀作惡抗拒我。

我虽教导他们，坚固他们的膀臂，他们竟图谋抗拒我。

我虽管教他们，坚固他们的膀臂，他们却图谋邪恶抗拒我。

我虽管教他们，坚固他们的膀臂，他们却图谋邪恶抗拒我。

我训练他们，使他们臂膀强壮，他们却阴谋作恶抗拒我。

我虽然锻炼他们的手臂，使它们有力，他们却图谋恶计攻击我。

我雖教導他們，堅固他們的膀臂，他們竟圖謀抗拒我。

我雖管教他們，堅固他們的膀臂，他們卻圖謀邪惡抗拒我。

我雖管教他們，堅固他們的膀臂，他們卻圖謀邪惡抗拒我。

我雖然鍛煉他們的手臂，使它們有力，他們卻圖謀惡計攻擊我。

雖是我教練了他們，加強他們的膀臂，他們竟只圖謀了壞事來跟我作對。

我雖練其臂而堅之、彼尚謀惡以抗我、

我無論責之助之、彼終叛余、

我雖督責之、扶助其手、彼終辜負我、

I trained them and strengthened their arms, but they plot evil against me.

I brought them up and made them strong. But they make evil plans against me.

Although I trained and strengthened their arms, yet they devise evil against me.

尼尼微人啊，你們為何圖謀抵擋耶和華？祂要徹底毀滅你們，無需擊打兩次。

擊破一切的謬論和阻礙人們認識上帝的驕傲言論，奪回被擄去的心思意念，使其順服基督。

「人心比什麼都詭詐，無可救藥，誰能識透呢？

他們雖然明知有上帝，卻不把祂當作上帝，既不將榮耀歸給祂，也不感謝祂。他們的思想因此變得荒謬無用，無知的心也變得昏暗不明。

賜給以色列人一位拯救者，從亞蘭人手中救了他們。他們便像從前一樣安居樂業。

耶和華啊，蒙你管教並用律法訓誨的人有福了！

耶和華因為與亞伯拉罕、以撒、雅各所立的約，就恩待以色列人，憐憫、眷顧他們，至今仍不願滅絕他們，沒有把他們從自己面前趕走。

你們難道忘了那像勸勉兒子一樣勸勉你們的話嗎？「孩子啊，不可輕視主的管教，被祂責備的時候也不要灰心。

他收復了從哈馬口到死海一帶的以色列邊境，正如以色列的上帝耶和華藉祂僕人迦特希弗人亞米太的兒子約拿先知所言。因為耶和華看見以色列人，無論自由人還是奴隸都十分痛苦，沒有人幫助他們。耶和華沒有說要從世上抹去以色列的名，因此他藉著約阿施的兒子耶羅波安拯救他們。

「被上帝責備的人有福了，不可輕視全能者的管教。

你藉著聖靈感動你的僕人——我們的祖先大衛說，『列國為何咆哮？萬民為何枉費心機？

我就像一面搖搖欲墜的牆壁、行將倒塌的籬笆，你們要攻擊我、置我於死地到何時呢？

凡我所愛的，我都會責備、管教。因此，你要熱心起來，也要悔改。

列國為何咆哮？萬民為何枉費心機？

祂多次拯救他們，他們卻執意背叛，陷入罪中不能自拔。但祂聽見他們在苦難中呼求時，仍然眷顧他們。祂沒有忘記與他們立的約，因祂偉大無比的愛而憐憫他們。

孩子啊，不可輕視耶和華的管教，也不可厭煩祂的責備。
