「人們因飽受壓迫而呼求，因強權者的壓制而求救。但無人問，『創造我的上帝在哪裡？祂使人夜間歡唱，

你們求也得不到是因為你們動機不純，只求享樂和滿足自己的慾望。

儘管如此，她不忠的妹妹猶大只是假裝歸向我，並不誠心。這是耶和華說的。」

「你要對境內的民眾和祭司說，『七十年來，你們在五月和七月禁食、哀傷，難道真的是為了我嗎？

我的僕人必歡喜快樂，揚聲歌唱，你們卻要傷心欲絕，嚎啕大哭。

主說：「這些人嘴上親近我，尊崇我，心卻遠離我。他們敬拜我不過是遵行人定的規條。

倘若有騙子撒謊說，『我預言你們會有美酒佳釀。』他就會成為這個民族的先知。

示劍人出城到田間採摘葡萄，踩榨葡萄汁，然後在他們的神廟中歡宴，盡情吃喝，咒詛亞比米勒。

他們的神就是自己的肚腹，他們以自己的羞恥為榮，只想著地上的事，他們的結局是滅亡。

到那日，殿裡的歌聲要變成哀號；屍橫遍地，一片死寂。這是主耶和華說的。」

耶和華對何西阿說：「你要再去愛那個另有新歡的淫婦，像耶和華愛以色列人一樣愛她。儘管他們祭拜別的神明，喜愛葡萄餅，耶和華仍然愛他們。」

耶和華說：「我這裡還有什麼呢？我的子民白白地被擄去，轄制他們的人咆哮大叫，我的名整天被褻瀆。

你們這些富有的人啊！為那將要臨到你們身上的災難痛哭哀號吧！

第二天清晨，百姓都上前來獻燔祭和平安祭，獻完祭後就坐下吃喝，起來狂歡。

他們並不是在事奉我們的主基督，只是為了滿足自己的慾望，用花言巧語欺騙單純善良的人。

撒瑪利亞人背叛了他們的上帝，要擔當自己的罪過。他們將喪身刀下，他們的孩子要被摔死，孕婦要被剖腹。」
