人受困苦則嘆息、遭橫逆則呼號。然造化之主上帝、使人於患難中謳歌逸樂、俾其明理、靈於禽獸、何以籲呼求救者、世無一人、

爾求而不得、妄求從欲故也、

云、爾歷七十年、五月七月間、禁食哭泣、豈為我乎、

彼取人之衣為質、陳於祭壇之前、偃卧於上、彼罰人供酒、飲於其上帝殿、

殺戮數民、其餘悔改、竭力以求兮、民思至高之上帝、自昔造之、恆復拯之兮、仍進以甘言、貢以媚詞兮、其心未正、其意未誠、不守前約兮、

我僕欣喜、以謳歌爾曹、憂愁而號泣、焦思苦慮、哀哭不勝。

主曰、斯民以口舌附我、言則敬我、而心則遠我、其敬畏我者、苟隨流俗而已。

如人好偽、佯托感神、以清酒醇醪、誨人燕飲、則民樂以為師、

往於田間、斂取葡萄、醡之、入其上帝之殿、頌美飲食、而詛亞庇米力。

彼養小體、如事上帝以辱為榮、惟是涉世、終必沉淪、

主耶和華又曰、降災之日、謳歌於宮闈者、無不號呼、尸骸枕藉、隨在棄擲、人緘厥口、

耶和華告我曰、維彼淫婦、從其所歡、爾眷愛之、以色列族從事他上帝、所奉之酒、彼樂飲焉、余愛斯民亦若是、

今我民無因見虜、強暴之人、恆凟我名、譁然不靖、我將何以處之。

富者當思將來之苦而號泣、

夙興燔牲獻祭、亦獻酬恩之祭、民坐而飲食、起而舞蹈、○

彼不服吾主耶穌基督、惟口腹是從、以巧言媚語、誘惑無偽者之心、

撒馬利亞人獲罪於上帝、故必荒蕪、亡於鋒刃、其嬰孩將相捽而死、其孕婦必刳剔而亡。
