So I swore in My anger,“ They will not enter My rest.”

吾憤乃誓、不令入吾安寧。』

So I declared on oath in my anger,‘ They shall never enter my rest.’”

So when I was angry, I made a promise. I said,‘ They will never enjoy the rest I planned for them.’ ”( Psalm 95:7–11)

As I swore in my wrath,‘ They shall not enter my rest.’”

So in my anger I took an oath:‘ They will never enter my place of rest.’”

“ As I swore in my anger,‘ They will never enter my rest!’”

The time we spent traveling from Kadesh-barnea until we crossed the Zered Valley was 38 years until the entire generation of fighting men had perished from the camp, as the Lord had sworn to them.

“ When the Lord heard your words, He grew angry and swore an oath:‘ None of these men in this evil generation will see the good land I swore to give your fathers,

( for we who have believed enter the rest), in keeping with what He has said: So I swore in My anger, they will not enter My rest. And yet His works have been finished since the foundation of the world,

I, Yahweh, have spoken. I swear that I will do this to the entire evil community that has conspired against Me. They will come to an end in the wilderness, and there they will die.”

Again, in that passage He says, They will never enter My rest.

“ How long must I endure this evil community that keeps complaining about Me? I have heard the Israelites’ complaints that they make against Me.Tell them: As surely as I live,” this is the Lord’s declaration,“ I will do to you exactly as I heard you say.Your corpses will fall in this wilderness— all of you who were registered in the census, the entire number of you 20 years old or more— because you have complained about Me.I swear that none of you will enter the land I promised to settle you in, except Caleb son of Jephunneh and Joshua son of Nun.

Therefore, a Sabbath rest remains for God’s people.

So the Lord’s anger burned that day, and He swore an oath:‘ Because they did not follow Me completely, none of the men 20 years old or more who came up from Egypt will see the land I swore to give Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob—none except Caleb son of Jephunneh the Kenizzite and Joshua son of Nun, because they did follow the Lord completely.’The Lord’s anger burned against Israel, and He made them wander in the wilderness 40 years until the whole generation that had done what was evil in the Lord’s sight was gone.

The Lord responded,“ I have pardoned them as you requested.Yet as surely as I live and as the whole earth is filled with the Lord’s glory,none of the men who have seen My glory and the signs I performed in Egypt and in the wilderness, and have tested Me these 10 times and did not obey Me,will ever see the land I swore to give their fathers. None of those who have despised Me will see it.

And who did He swear to that they would not enter His rest, if not those who disobeyed?So we see that they were unable to enter because of unbelief.

So I swore in My anger,“ They will not enter My rest.”

Since the Amalekites and Canaanites are living in the lowlands, turn back tomorrow and head for the wilderness in the direction of the Red Sea.”
