伊梢後來之如何切望降福、而卒見拒絕、爾所知也。蓋大錯已鑄、噬臍莫及；雖痛哭流涕而求之、亦徒然矣。

但如果這塊地長出荊棘和蒺藜來，就被廢棄，近於咒詛，結局就是焚燒。

但我必向他們聲明：‘我從來不認識你們；你們這些作惡的人，離開我去吧！’

以撒給雅各祝福完了，雅各剛剛從他父親以撒那裡出來的時候，他哥哥以掃就打獵回來了。他也預備了美味的食物，拿來給他父親，對他說：“請我父起來，吃你兒子的獵物，好給我祝福。”他父親以撒問他：“你是誰？”他回答：“我就是你的長子以掃。”以撒就大大地戰兢起來，說：“那麼，剛才去打獵又拿獵物給我的是誰呢？在你未來以先，我已經吃了，又給他祝福了；他將來必定蒙福。”以掃聽了他父親的話，就非常痛心，放聲大哭，對他父親說：“我父啊，求你也給我祝福。”以撒說：“你弟弟已經前來，用詭計把你的祝福奪去了。”以掃說：“他名叫雅各不是很對嗎？因為他欺騙了我兩次。從前他奪去我的長子名分，現在他又奪去我的祝福。”以掃又說：“你再沒有祝福留給我嗎？”以撒回答以掃，說：“我已經立他作你的主人，又把他所有的兄弟給了他作僕人，並且把五穀和美酒供給他了。我兒啊，我還可以為你作甚麼呢？”以掃問他的父親：“我父啊，你只有一個祝福嗎？我父啊，求你也給我祝福。”以掃就放聲大哭。他父親以撒回答他，說：“你住的地方必遠離地上的沃土，遠離天上的甘露。你必依靠刀劍生活，你必服事你的弟弟；到你自由的時候，你必從你的頸項上掙脫他的軛。”以掃因為他父親給雅各所祝的福，就懷恨雅各；以掃心裡想：“為我父親守喪的時候近了，到時我必殺我的弟弟雅各。”

“你們應當竭力進窄門！我告訴你們，將來許多人要進去，卻是不能。等到家主起來關上門，你們站在門外叩門說：‘主啊，給我們開門！’他要回答你們：‘我不知道你們是從哪裡來的。’那時，你們要說：‘我們在你面前吃過喝過，你也在我們街上教導過人。’他要說：‘我告訴你們，我不曉得你們是從哪裡來的；你們所有作惡的人，離開我去吧！’

人要稱他們為被棄的銀渣，因為耶和華把他們棄絕了。

因為那些曾經蒙了光照，嘗過屬天的恩賜的滋味，與聖靈有分，並且嘗過神美善的道和來世的權能的人，如果偏離了正道，就不可能再使他們重新悔改了。因為他們親自把神的兒子再釘在十字架上，公然羞辱他。

我呼喚，你們不肯聽從；我伸手，沒有人理會。你們既輕忽我的一切勸告，不肯接受我的責備；所以你們遭難的時候，我就發笑；驚恐臨到你們的日子，我就嗤笑。驚恐臨到你們好像風暴，災難如同颶風來臨，患難困苦臨到你們身上。那時，他們必呼求我，我卻不回答；他們切切尋找我，卻尋不見；因為他們恨惡知識，不選擇敬畏耶和華；不接受我的勸告，輕視我的一切責備；所以，他們必自食其果，必飽嘗自己所設計謀的傷害。

如果我們領受了真理的知識以後，還是故意犯罪，就再沒有留下贖罪的祭品了；只好恐懼地等待著審判，和那快要吞滅眾仇敵的烈火。如果有人干犯了摩西的律法，憑著兩三個證人，他尚且得不到憐憫而死；何況是踐踏神的兒子，把那使他成聖的立約的血當作俗物，又侮辱施恩的聖靈的人，你們想想，他不是應該受更嚴厲的刑罰嗎？
