And Abraham answered and said, Behold now, I have taken upon me to speak unto the Lord, which[ am but] dust and ashes:

亚伯拉罕回答，说：“我虽然是灰尘，还大胆地对我主说话。

亚伯拉罕回应说：“看哪，尽管我是尘土和灰烬，也容我斗胆向我主说，

亞伯拉罕說：「我雖然是灰塵，還敢對主說話。

亞伯拉罕回答說：「看哪，我雖只是塵土灰燼，還敢向主說話。

亞伯拉罕回答說：「看哪，我雖只是塵土灰燼，還敢向主說話。

亞伯拉罕說：「主啊，雖然我渺小如灰塵，但我還要大膽地求問你，

亞伯拉罕回答，說：“我雖然是灰塵，還大膽地對我主說話。

亞伯拉罕回答說：『我雖是塵土爐灰，還敢對主說話。

亞伯拉罕回應說：「看哪，儘管我是塵土和灰燼，也容我斗膽向我主說，

亞伯拉罕曰、我雖為灰塵、敢告於主、

亞伯拉罕曰、吾雖若纖塵、而敢上告、

亞伯拉罕曰、我雖若灰塵、敢告主、

Then Abraham spoke up again:“ Now that I have been so bold as to speak to the Lord, though I am nothing but dust and ashes,

Then Abraham spoke up again. He said,“ I have been very bold to speak to the Lord. After all, I’m only dust and ashes.

Abraham answered and said,“ Behold, I have undertaken to speak to the Lord, I who am but dust and ashes.

Then Abraham spoke again.“ Since I have begun, let me speak further to my Lord, even though I am but dust and ashes.

Then Abraham answered,“ Since I have ventured to speak to my lord— even though I am dust and ashes—

And Abraham replied,“ Now behold, I have ventured to speak to the Lord, although I am only dust and ashes.

Then Abraham answered and said,“ Indeed now, I who am but dust and ashes have taken it upon myself to speak to the Lord:

And Abraham answered and said, Behold now, I have taken upon me to speak unto the Lord, who am but dust and ashes:

Then Abraham answered,“ Since I have ventured to speak to the Lord— even though I am dust and ashes—

Then Abraham asked,“ Since I have undertaken to speak to the Lord( although I am but dust and ashes),

Abraham answered,“ See now, I have taken it on myself to speak to the Lord, although I am dust and ashes.

Then said I, Woe[ is] me! for I am undone; because I[ am] a man of unclean lips, and I dwell in the midst of a people of unclean lips: for mine eyes have seen the King, the LORD of hosts.

In the sweat of thy face shalt thou eat bread, till thou return unto the ground; for out of it wast thou taken: for dust thou[ art], and unto dust shalt thou return.

The first man[ is] of the earth, earthy: the second man[ is] the Lord from heaven.As[ is] the earthy, such[ are] they also that are earthy: and as[ is] the heavenly, such[ are] they also that are heavenly.

Then shall the dust return to the earth as it was: and the spirit shall return unto God who gave it.

How much less[ in] them that dwell in houses of clay, whose foundation[ is] in the dust,[ which] are crushed before the moth?

And he spake a parable unto them[ to this end], that men ought always to pray, and not to faint;

But now, O LORD, thou[ art] our father; we[ are] the clay, and thou our potter; and we all[ are] the work of thy hand.

And the LORD God formed man[ of] the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul.

When Simon Peter saw[ it], he fell down at Jesus’ knees, saying, Depart from me; for I am a sinful man, O Lord.

He hath cast me into the mire, and I am become like dust and ashes.

And he said[ unto him], Oh let not the Lord be angry, and I will speak: Peradventure there shall thirty be found there. And he said, I will not do[ it], if I find thirty there.And he said, Behold now, I have taken upon me to speak unto the Lord: Peradventure there shall be twenty found there. And he said, I will not destroy[ it] for twenty’s sake.And he said, Oh let not the Lord be angry, and I will speak yet but this once: Peradventure ten shall be found there. And he said, I will not destroy[ it] for ten’s sake.

What is man, that thou art mindful of him? and the son of man, that thou visitest him?

For we know that if our earthly house of[ this] tabernacle were dissolved, we have a building of God, an house not made with hands, eternal in the heavens.For in this we groan, earnestly desiring to be clothed upon with our house which is from heaven:

And said, O my God, I am ashamed and blush to lift up my face to thee, my God: for our iniquities are increased over[ our] head, and our trespass is grown up unto the heavens.

LORD, what[ is] man, that thou takest knowledge of him![ or] the son of man, that thou makest account of him!

Wherefore I abhor[ myself], and repent in dust and ashes.And it was[ so], that after the LORD had spoken these words unto Job, the LORD said to Eliphaz the Temanite, My wrath is kindled against thee, and against thy two friends: for ye have not spoken of me[ the thing that is] right, as my servant Job[ hath].Therefore take unto you now seven bullocks and seven rams, and go to my servant Job, and offer up for yourselves a burnt offering; and my servant Job shall pray for you: for him will I accept: lest I deal with you[ after your] folly, in that ye have not spoken of me[ the thing which is] right, like my servant Job.
