因為連那些受割禮的、他們自己也不嚴守律法，卻想要叫你們受割禮，好拿你們的肉體來誇口。

Not even those who are circumcised keep the law, yet they want you to be circumcised that they may boast about your circumcision in the flesh.

你們的自誇真不好。豈不曉得一點麵酵能使全團都發起酵來麼？

真的受割禮呢、我們才是，我們這以靈來事奉，拿基督耶穌來誇口、不倚靠肉體的人。

但是你呢、你既名為猶太人，既依靠着律法，並拿上帝來誇口；你既由律法受教訓，知道上帝的旨意，也能驗別是非；你既深信自己是瞎子的領路人，是暗中人的光，是管教糊塗人的，是幼兒的教師，因為你在律法上擁有具體之知識、即具體之真理——那麼你這教導別人的，你不教導自己麼？你這宣傳說不可偷竊的，你偷竊麼？你這說不可姦淫的，你姦淫麼？你這憎惡偶像之污染的，你掠劫廟中之物麼？你這指着律法而誇口的，你因違犯律法而侮辱上帝麼？正如經上所記：『上帝的名在外國人中因你們而受了謗讟』！你如果行律法，割禮於你、固然有益；但你若違犯律法，你的受割禮就等於沒受割禮了。

經學士和法利賽人、假冒為善的人哪，你們有禍啊！因為你們周遊了洋海旱地，使一個人成了歸依人，既歸依了，你們又使他做該入地獄的人，比你們還加倍！

所以誰都不要拿人來誇口了！一切都是你們的：

所以凡他們所吩咐你們的一切事，你們都要行，要守；可不要照他們行為的樣子去行啊；因為他們能說，而不能行。

『經學士和法利賽人、假冒為善的人哪，你們有禍啊！因為你們將薄荷、茴香、芹菜、獻上十分之一，而律法上較有重量的事，如正義憐憫和信實、你們卻遺棄了。其實呢，前者那些雖不可遺棄，後者這些卻必須行。

應許他們自由，而自己卻是敗壞之奴僕。因為人被甚麼制勝，就給甚麼做奴僕。

這卻怎麼樣呢？我們猶太人比他們外國人強麼？完全不是。我們已經起訴：萬人都在罪之下，不但希利尼人，猶太人也在內；正如經上所記：『沒有義人，一個也沒有；沒有曉悟的，沒有尋求上帝的；他們都偏離了正路，一同變為無用；沒有以慈惠待人的，連一個也沒有；他們的喉嚨是敞開的墓；他們用舌頭弄欺詐；他們嘴脣下有虺蛇之毒氣；他們的口滿了咒罵和苦恨；他們的腳飛快、要流人的血；他們所經過的路、都使人受殘害和災難；平安的路、他們不知道；他們眼中、並沒有敬畏上帝的心。』我們曉得、律法無論說甚麼，都是向律法以內的人講的，好堵住每一個人的口，使全世界的人都伏在上帝審判之下；

既有許多人以屬肉體之事而誇口，我也要誇口。
