“主耶和华如此说：我要毁灭偶像，从挪弗除掉神像；不再有君王出自埃及地，我要使埃及地的人惧怕。

耶和华说：“我必从地面上彻底除灭万物。我必除灭人与牲畜，除灭空中的鸟、海里的鱼、绊脚石和恶人；我必把人从地面上剪除，这是耶和华说的。我必伸手攻击犹大和耶路撒冷所有的居民；从这地方剪除剩下的巴力、事奉偶像之祭司的名字与祭司；还有那些在屋顶拜天上万象的，那些敬拜耶和华指着他起誓，却又指着米勒公起誓的；并那些转去不跟从耶和华，不寻求耶和华，也不求问他的。”

有权势的必如麻线，他的作为好像火花，都要一同焚烧，无人扑灭。

亚文的丘坛，以色列犯罪的地方必毁坏，荆棘和蒺藜必长在他们的祭坛上。他们要向大山说：遮盖我们！向小山说：倒在我们身上！

刺草和荆棘要长在我百姓的田地上，长在欢乐城中一切快乐家园上。宫殿必被撇下，繁华的城必被抛弃，堡垒和瞭望楼永为洞穴，成为野驴的乐土，羊群的草场。

偶像有什么益处呢？制造者雕刻它，铸成偶像，作虚假的教师；制造者倚靠的是自己所做的哑巴偶像。

我必使耶路撒冷成为废墟，为野狗的住处，也必使犹大的城镇荒废，无人居住。

造它们的要像它们一样，凡靠它们的也必如此。

当耶和华发怒的日子，他们的金银不能救自己；耶和华妒忌的火必烧灭全地，要向地上所有的居民施行可怕的毁灭。

我要把你交在他们手中；他们必拆毁你的土墩，毁坏你的高台，剥去你的衣服，夺取你美丽的宝物，留下你赤身露体。

到那日，人必将造来敬拜的金偶像、银偶像抛给田鼠和蝙蝠。

有风声！看哪，来了！有大扰乱从北方而来，要使犹大的城镇变为废墟，成为野狗的住处。

因为有哀声从锡安传来：‘我们竟然败落！我们何等惭愧！我们撇下土地，人拆毁了我们的房屋。’”

他们心怀二意，现今要定为有罪。耶和华必拆毁他们的祭坛，粉碎他们的柱像。
