倘若你警戒义人，使他不犯罪，他就不犯罪；他因受警戒就必存活，你也救自己脱离了罪。”

如果你告诫他不要犯罪，他听了你的告诫不再犯罪，他必保住性命，你也必免于罪责。”

如爾戒善人、勿犯罪、彼若聽戒不犯罪、必可得生、爾亦自保生命、○

But if you do warn the righteous person not to sin and they do not sin, they will surely live because they took warning, and you will have saved yourself.”

But suppose you do warn a godly person not to sin. And they do not sin. Then you can be sure that they will live because they listened to your warning. And you will have saved yourself.”

故當儆醒、憶我三年之久、晝夜不息、涕泣以勸爾眾、

然磯法至安提阿、我面諍之、以其干咎也、蓋有自雅各來者未至時、彼與異邦人同食、及至、則退而自別、畏受割者也、其餘之猶太人、亦相率為偽、甚至巴拿巴亦受其誘而效尤焉、

凡此爾宜以諸權言之勸之責之、勿為人輕視焉、

我儕宣之、以諸智勸人訓人、俾得薦之、完全於基督中、

勿踰閑、欺乃兄弟、凡如此者、主必報之、如我昔告爾而證之也、蓋上帝召我、非致污、乃成聖、故拒之者非拒人、乃拒賜聖神之上帝也、○

凡恆在彼中者不干罪、干罪者未嘗見之、亦未嘗識之、小子乎、勿為人所惑、行義者乃義、如彼之義然、行罪者乃由於魔、蓋魔自始干罪、上帝子所以顯見者、為毀魔之工也、凡由上帝而生者不行罪、以其種恆在厥衷、其不能干罪者、因由上帝而生也、

故當滅爾在地之肢體、即淫亂、污穢、邪情、惡慾、及貪婪、貪婪與拜像一也、是以上帝之怒、臨諸悖逆之人、爾昔生於斯、亦嘗出入其間也、今則宜去一切忿怒、暴戾、狠毒、謗讟、穢言、

故自以為立者、慎勿傾也、

故我言之、且緣主勸之、爾之所行、毋復志意虛妄、如異邦人然、彼心思蒙昧、外乎上帝之生、因其無知而心頑也、既失其良、狥於邪侈、貪行諸污、爾學基督則不然、爾果聞之、且由之受教、依耶穌之真、

余書此、非以愧爾、乃警爾、如我愛子、

我勸兄弟、妄者警之、怯者勵之、弱者扶之、寬以待眾、

責通達者以一言、深入其心、甚於撻愚蠢者以百杖、

爾僕因之受警、守此可得大賚兮、

蓋將有偽基督偽先知者起、大施異蹟奇事、設能惑選民、則亦惑之矣、我已預語爾矣、

訓迪智人、其智必益、教誨義人、其學必進、

上帝以基督恩召爾、我怪爾離之若此之速、而別從福音、此非福音也、乃擾爾者、欲紛更基督福音耳、或我儕或天使、宣福音於爾、異乎我所宣者、則宜見詛、我昔言之、今復言之、若人宣福音於爾、異乎爾所受者、則宜見詛、今我欲取信於人乎、抑欲取信於上帝乎、或求悅於人乎、若仍悅人、則非基督僕矣、○

慎乃身與乃訓、宜恆於斯、如是、則將救己及聽爾者矣、

凡我所愛者、我責而懲之、故宜奮然改悔、

我保羅語爾、若受割、則基督於爾無益、我復證之、凡受割者、宜行全律、爾欲由律見義者、乃絕於基督、而隕於恩矣、蓋我儕以神由信、而待所望之義、於基督耶穌中、或割或否、皆無益、惟信之以愛而行者有益、昔爾所趨者善矣、誰阻爾不順真理乎、

如爾警惡人、而彼不改其惡行、不離其惡途、則彼必死於其罪、惟爾得救己命、如義人背義行惡、我置窒礙於其前、彼必死亡、爾不警之、彼死於罪、所行之義、不復見憶、我必索其血於爾手、

當知使罪人反自迷途、乃救一人免死、掩罪多矣、

蓋爾誠知淫者、污者、及貪婪即拜像者、皆不得嗣業於基督與上帝之國、勿為人之虛言所欺、緣此、上帝之怒、臨於悖逆之人、
