因此，耶和華上帝就把亞當趕出伊甸園，讓他去開墾土地——他的本源。上帝趕走了亞當以後，就派遣基路伯天使駐守在伊甸園東邊，又用一把旋轉的火劍守護在通往生命樹的路上。

「困苦不堪、飽經風雨、得不著安慰的城啊，我要以彩石作你的地基，用藍寶石來建造你，用紅寶石建你的城樓、水晶造你的城門、寶石建你的城牆。

你們要收刀入鞘，我要在你們的家鄉，在你們的出生之地審判你們，

你的榮耀和琴聲一同落入陰間，蟲成了你的床鋪，蛆成了你的被子。

上面鑲上四行寶石：第一行是紅寶石、黃玉和翠玉；第二行是綠寶石、藍寶石和金剛石；第三行是紫瑪瑙、白瑪瑙和紫晶；第四行是水蒼玉、紅瑪瑙和碧玉。以上四行寶石都鑲在胸牌的金框內。他用刻圖章的方法，在十二顆寶石上刻上以色列兒子的名字，代表以色列的十二支派。他用純金擰成兩條像繩子一樣的鏈子，連在胸牌上，又造兩個金框和兩個金環，把金環安在胸牌兩端。把兩條金鏈分別穿在兩個金環裡，又把兩條金鏈的另一端分別連在以弗得前面肩帶的兩個金框上。在靠近以弗得內側、胸牌下面的兩端造了兩個金環。在以弗得肩帶下端、接近腰帶的地方又造了兩個金環。用一條藍色的帶子繫住以弗得和胸牌上面的金環，使胸牌貼在精工織成的以弗得腰帶上，不會從以弗得上鬆脫。這些都是照耶和華對摩西的吩咐做的。

城牆的基石用各種寶石裝飾：第一塊基石是碧玉，第二塊是藍寶石，第三塊是綠瑪瑙，第四塊是綠寶石，第五塊是紅瑪瑙，第六塊是紅寶石，第七塊是橄欖石，第八塊是水蒼玉，第九塊是黃寶石，第十塊是翡翠，第十一塊是紫瑪瑙，第十二塊是紫晶。

那婦人身穿紫色和朱紅色的袍子，用黃金、寶石及珍珠裝扮自己。她手中拿著金杯，裡面盛滿了她淫亂的污穢、可憎之物。

『聖靈對各教會所說的話，凡有耳朵的都應當聽。我必將上帝樂園中生命樹上的果子賜給得勝者吃。』

第一條支流叫比遜河，它環繞著哈腓拉全境。那裡有金子，且是上好的金子，還有珍珠和紅瑪瑙。

示巴和拉瑪的商人用各類上等香料、寶石和黃金交換你的貨物。

我必使你的歌聲消逝，琴音斷絕。

羅得舉目眺望，看見整個約旦河平原，遠至瑣珥，水源充足。在耶和華還沒有毀滅所多瑪和蛾摩拉之前，那地方就好像耶和華的伊甸園，又像埃及。

牠們的前隊如火燎原，後隊如熊熊烈焰。牠們未到以前，大地美得像伊甸園；牠們過去之後，大地變成一片荒場，地上的一切都逃不過這一場浩劫。
