但因我曾在異邦人目前導之出、故我為我名、止手不作、恐我名被異邦人褻慢、

But I withheld my hand, and for the sake of my name I did what would keep it from being profaned in the eyes of the nations in whose sight I had brought them out.

But I kept myself from punishing them at that time. I wanted my name to be honored. So I kept it from being treated as if it were not holy. I did not want that to happen in front of the nations. They had seen me bring Israel out of Egypt.

Yet He was compassionate; He atoned for their guilt and did not destroy them. He often turned His anger aside and did not unleash all His wrath.

remove Your hand from me, and do not let Your terror frighten me.

Though our guilt testifies against us, Yahweh, act for Your name’s sake. Indeed, our rebellions are many; we have sinned against You.

But I spared them from destruction and did not bring them to an end in the wilderness.

God of our salvation, help us— for the glory of Your name. Deliver us and atone for our sins, because of Your name.Why should the nations ask,“ Where is their God?” Before our eyes, let vengeance for the shed blood of Your servants be known among the nations.

Because of Your name, Yahweh, forgive my sin, for it is great.

The Lord determined to destroy the wall of Daughter Zion. He stretched out a measuring line and did not restrain Himself from destroying. He made the ramparts and walls grieve; together they waste away.

Lord, hear! Lord, forgive! Lord, listen and act! My God, for Your own sake, do not delay, because Your city and Your people are called by Your name.

Not to us, Yahweh, not to us, but to Your name give glory because of Your faithful love, because of Your truth.

Therefore, our God, hear the prayer and the petitions of Your servant. Show Your favor to Your desolate sanctuary for the Lord’s sake.
