主耶和華云、有一巨鷹、翼大、翎長、毛豐、文彩斑斕、至利巴嫩、取香柏之高枝、

當告之云、耶和華曰、巨鷹有翼、碩大無朋、毛羽豐健、文彩斑斕、集於利巴嫩、柏香木之高枝、為其所折、

告之曰、主天主如是云、有一巨鷹、翼大羽長、翎毛豐滿、采色俱備、至利巴嫩、在柏香木巔取柏香木之枝、

Say to them,‘ This is what the Sovereign Lord says: A great eagle with powerful wings, long feathers and full plumage of varied colors came to Lebanon. Taking hold of the top of a cedar,

Tell them,‘ The Lord and King says,“ A great eagle came to the city of‘ Lebanon.’ It had powerful wings and a lot of long feathers. The feathers were colorful and beautiful. The eagle landed in the top of a cedar tree.

say, Thus says the Lord God: A great eagle with great wings and long pinions, rich in plumage of many colors, came to Lebanon and took the top of the cedar.

Give them this message from the Sovereign Lord:“ A great eagle with broad wings and long feathers, covered with many colored plumage, came to Lebanon. He seized the top of a cedar tree

You are to say,‘ This is what the Lord GOD says: A huge eagle with powerful wings, long feathers, and full plumage of many colors came to Lebanon and took the top of the cedar.

saying,‘ This is what the Lord God says:“ A great eagle with great wings, long pinions, and a full plumage of many colors came to Lebanon and took away the top of the cedar.

and say,‘ Thus says the Lord GOD:“ A great eagle with large wings and long pinions, Full of feathers of various colors, Came to Lebanon And took from the cedar the highest branch.

and say, Thus saith the Lord Jehovah: A great eagle with great wings and long pinions, full of feathers, which had divers colors, came unto Lebanon, and took the top of the cedar:

You are to say: This is what the Lord God says: A great eagle with great wings, long pinions, and full plumage of many colors came to Lebanon and took the top of the cedar.

And say, Thus saith the Lord GOD; A great eagle with great wings, longwinged, full of feathers, which had divers colours, came unto Lebanon, and took the highest branch of the cedar:

Say to them:‘ This is what the sovereign LORD says:“‘ A great eagle with broad wings, long feathers, with full plumage which was multi-hued, came to Lebanon and took the top of the cedar.

and say,‘ The Lord Yahweh says:“ A great eagle with great wings and long feathers, full of feathers, which had various colors, came to Lebanon, and took the top of the cedar.

耶和華說：「看啊，敵人必像展翅疾飛的大鷹一樣來攻擊摩押。

「吹響號角警告眾人吧！敵人要如鷹撲向耶和華的家，因為百姓背棄我的約，違背我的律法。

王啊，這蒼勁有力的樹就是你，你的威名高達穹蒼，你的權柄延至地極。

「『又有一隻大鷹飛來，翅膀寬大，羽毛豐滿。這葡萄樹把根和枝子轉向這隻鷹，渴望得到牠的澆灌。

約雅斤十八歲登基，在耶路撒冷執政三個月零十天。他做耶和華視為惡的事。那年春天，尼布甲尼撒王派人把他和耶和華殿裡的貴重器皿一同帶到巴比倫。尼布甲尼撒另立約雅斤的叔叔西底迦做猶大和耶路撒冷的王。

「你要對這些悖逆的人說，『你們不明白這比喻的意思嗎？』要告訴他們，巴比倫王攻取了耶路撒冷，把其中的君王和大臣擄到巴比倫，並從猶大王室中選出一人與他立約，要他效忠。巴比倫王擄去猶大國的重臣，使猶大國臣服於他，無法圖強，只能遵守盟約，以求生存。後來，猶大王背叛了巴比倫王，派使者到埃及請求支援軍隊馬匹。他能成功嗎？他這樣做怎能逃脫懲罰呢？他這樣背約怎能逃脫懲罰呢？「我憑我的永恆起誓，巴比倫王立他做王，他卻棄約背誓，他必死在巴比倫。敵人築起圍攻的土壘和高臺大肆殺戮的時候，法老雖然兵強馬壯，人多勢眾，仍無法幫他抗敵。他起誓降服，卻棄約背誓，所以絕不能逃避後果。因此，主耶和華說，『我憑我的永恆起誓，他既藐視與我所立的誓言，背棄與我所定的約，我必懲罰他。我要撒開網羅抓住他，把他帶到巴比倫，審判他對我不忠的罪。他所有的精兵都要喪身刀下，餘下的也要四散逃竄。這樣，你們就知道這是我耶和華說的。

追趕我們的人比飛鷹更快，他們在山上追捕我們，在曠野伏擊我們。

看啊，仇敵必如雲湧來，他的戰車快如旋風，他的戰馬比飛鷹還快。我們有禍了！我們滅亡了！

你這棲身在石縫間、盤踞在高山上的民族啊，你令人驚懼、心高氣傲，其實只是自欺。儘管你像老鷹在高處搭窩，我也必把你拉下來。這是耶和華說的。

也將居住在各地的世人、走獸和飛禽都交在你手中，讓你管理。你就是那金頭。

那時，巴比倫王尼布甲尼撒派將領圍攻耶路撒冷。圍城期間，尼布甲尼撒親自來到耶路撒冷。猶大王約雅斤及其母親、臣僕和文官武將向尼布甲尼撒投降。巴比倫王尼布甲尼撒在他執政第八年俘虜了約雅斤，拿走了耶和華殿裡和王宮裡的寶物，以及所羅門王為耶和華的殿所造的金器，正如耶和華所言。他又擄走住在耶路撒冷的所有將領、勇士、工匠和鐵匠共一萬人，只留下了境內最貧窮的人。他把約雅斤及其母親、妃嬪、臣僕和國中政要從耶路撒冷擄到巴比倫。此外被擄的還有能征善戰的勇士七千人，工匠和鐵匠一千人。

屍體在哪裡，禿鷹就會聚集在哪裡。

住在黎巴嫩、安居在香柏木宮殿中的人啊，當婦人分娩般的痛苦臨到你們的時候，你們將怎樣呻吟呢！」耶和華說：「猶大王約雅敬的兒子哥尼雅啊，我憑我的永恆起誓，即使你是我右手上蓋章的戒指，我也要把你摘下來，交給那些想殺你的人，交給你所懼怕的人，就是巴比倫王尼布甲尼撒和他的迦勒底軍隊。我要把你和你母親趕到異鄉，那裡不是你們的出生之地，卻是葬身之處。你們渴望回到故鄉，卻不能如願以償。」難道哥尼雅是個被人鄙視、無人理睬的破瓶子嗎？為什麼他和他的子孫被趕到陌生之地？

「耶和華要使一國從遙遠的地極興起，他們要如鷹飛來襲擊你們。你們不懂他們的語言。

巴比倫王尼布甲尼撒從耶路撒冷把猶大王約雅敬的兒子耶哥尼雅、猶大的官員、技工和工匠擄到巴比倫以後，耶和華使我看見兩筐無花果放在祂的殿前。

第一隻獸像獅子，但有鷹的翅膀。我觀看時，見牠的翅膀被拔掉。牠被扶起來，像人一樣雙腳站在地上，並被賦予人的頭腦。
