故爾以西結當曰、主天主如是云、我雖逐之遠邦、散之列國、我猶在所至之列國、為其小聖所、

“ Therefore say:‘ This is what the Sovereign Lord says: Although I sent them far away among the nations and scattered them among the countries, yet for a little while I have been a sanctuary for them in the countries where they have gone.’

“ So tell them,‘ The Lord and King says,“ I sent some of my people far away among the nations. I scattered them among the countries. But for a little while I have been their temple in the countries where they have gone.” ’

Therefore say,‘ Thus says the Lord God: Though I removed them far off among the nations, and though I scattered them among the countries, yet I have been a sanctuary to them for a while in the countries where they have gone.’

“ Therefore, tell the exiles,‘ This is what the Sovereign Lord says: Although I have scattered you in the countries of the world, I will be a sanctuary to you during your time in exile.

“ Therefore say,‘ This is what the Lord GOD says: Though I sent them far away among the nations and scattered them among the countries, yet for a little while I have been a sanctuary for them in the countries where they have gone.’

Therefore say,‘ This is what the Lord God says:“ Though I had removed them far away among the nations, and though I had scattered them among the countries, yet I was a sanctuary for them for a little while in the countries where they had gone.” ’

Therefore say,‘ Thus says the Lord God:“ Although I have cast them far off among the Gentiles, and although I have scattered them among the countries, yet I shall be a little sanctuary for them in the countries where they have gone.”’

Therefore say, Thus saith the Lord Jehovah: Whereas I have removed them far off among the nations, and whereas I have scattered them among the countries, yet will I be to them a sanctuary for a little while in the countries where they are come.

“ Therefore say: This is what the Lord God says: Though I sent them far away among the nations and scattered them among the countries, yet for a little while I have been a sanctuary for them in the countries where they have gone.

Therefore say, Thus saith the Lord GOD; Although I have cast them far off among the heathen, and although I have scattered them among the countries, yet will I be to them as a little sanctuary in the countries where they shall come.

“ Therefore say:‘ This is what the sovereign LORD says: Although I have removed them far away among the nations and have dispersed them among the countries, I have been a little sanctuary for them among the lands where they have gone.’

“ Therefore say,‘ The Lord Yahweh says:“ Whereas I have removed them far off among the nations, and whereas I have scattered them among the countries, yet I will be to them a sanctuary for a little while in the countries where they have come.”’

祂必作人的聖所，也要作以色列和猶大的絆腳石和使人跌倒的磐石，作耶路撒冷居民的陷阱和網羅。

主啊，你是我們世世代代的居所。

你把他們藏在你那裡，使他們得到庇護，免遭世人暗算。你使他們在你的居所安然無恙，免受惡言惡語的攻擊。

然而，他們流落敵國的時候，我不會棄絕他們，不會因厭惡而毀滅他們，也不會違背我與他們所立的約。我是他們的上帝耶和華。

安居在至高者隱秘處的人，必蒙全能者的蔭庇。

「以色列的上帝耶和華這樣說，『那些從這裡被擄到迦勒底的猶大人在我眼中是好無花果。我要眷顧他們，帶他們回到這裡。我要使他們興起，不再毀滅他們；我要栽培他們，不再剷除他們；

「列國啊，你們要聽耶和華的話，要在遠方的海島宣揚，『祂從前驅散以色列人，如今必再聚集、保護他們，好像牧人看守自己的羊群一樣。』

耶和華的名是堅固保障，義人投奔其中就得安穩。

祭司和先知對官員和民眾說：「這人該被處死！因為他預言這城要被毀，這是你們親耳聽到的。」

耶和華必在日間用煙雲遮蔽整個錫安山和那裡的會眾，在夜間用火光照亮他們。祂的榮耀必遮蓋一切，

祂必改變你們被擄的境遇，憐憫你們，把你們從祂驅逐你們去的列國招聚回來。即使你們被驅逐到天涯，你們的上帝耶和華也會把你們帶回來，

你使我們如被宰殺的羊，將我們分散在列國。

猶大王約雅斤及其母親、臣僕和文官武將向尼布甲尼撒投降。巴比倫王尼布甲尼撒在他執政第八年俘虜了約雅斤，拿走了耶和華殿裡和王宮裡的寶物，以及所羅門王為耶和華的殿所造的金器，正如耶和華所言。他又擄走住在耶路撒冷的所有將領、勇士、工匠和鐵匠共一萬人，只留下了境內最貧窮的人。他把約雅斤及其母親、妃嬪、臣僕和國中政要從耶路撒冷擄到巴比倫。此外被擄的還有能征善戰的勇士七千人，工匠和鐵匠一千人。

不要懼怕巴比倫王，不要怕他，因為我必與你們同在，拯救你們脫離他的權勢。這是耶和華說的。

因為你以至高者耶和華——我的避難所作你的居所，禍患不會臨到你身上，災難不會靠近你的住處。因為祂必命令祂的天使隨時隨地保護你。天使會用手托住你，不讓你的腳碰在石頭上。你必將獅子和毒蛇踩在腳下，你必踐踏猛獅和巨蛇。耶和華說：「因為他愛我，我必拯救他；因為他信靠我的名，我必保護他。他求告我，我就答應他；他遭遇患難，我必與他同在。我必拯救他，賜他尊貴的地位。我必賜他長壽，並讓他看見我的拯救之恩。」

祭司、先知和民眾都聽見了耶利米在耶和華的殿裡說的這些話。

因為我與你們同在，要拯救你們。這是耶和華說的。我要徹底毀滅列國，就是我曾使你們流亡的地方。但我不會徹底毀滅你們，也不會饒過你們，我必公正地懲治你們。」
