圣经上说：“你们今日若听见祂的声音，不可像从前那样硬着心悖逆祂。”

不可心里顽固，像从前在旷野试探祂、悖逆祂一样。

有人向埃及王报信，说以色列百姓逃走了。法老和他的臣仆便改变主意，说：“我们怎么可以让以色列人就这样离开我们，不再服侍我们呢？”

他们却不理会，背过身去，充耳不闻，心如铁石，不遵从律法，也不遵从万军之耶和华借着祂的灵指示从前的先知所说的话。因此，万军之耶和华非常愤怒。

屡教不改、顽固不化者，必突然灭亡，无可挽救。

人们被炙热灼伤，就亵渎掌管这些灾祸的上帝的名，他们毫无悔意，不肯归荣耀给上帝。

耶和华说：“以法莲啊，我该怎样待你呢？犹大啊，我该怎样待你呢？你们对我的爱像晨雾，如转瞬即逝的朝露。
