Redeem the firstborn donkey with a lamb, but if you do not redeem it, break its neck. Redeem all your firstborn sons.“ No one is to appear before me empty-handed.

亞筆月、汝出埃及、屆期必守除酵節、七日間、宜食無酵餅、如我所命、覲我之時、毋徒手而至。

爾之丁男、必至上帝耶和華特簡之室、歲凡三次、即無酵節、七七日節、搆廬節、覲耶和華時、毋徒手而至。

法老剛愎厥心、不釋我出境、耶和華遍戮埃及人之初胎男子、首生牡畜、故我以首生牡畜、獻祭耶和華、其初胎男子、則以金贖。

掃羅謂僕曰、所備之糧已罄、我無所有、如見上帝之僕、當饋何物。僕曰、我有金錢一分二厘半、以此饋上帝之僕、求其示我趨向。

凡初胎男子、首生牡畜、奉於我者、皆必歸爾、但初胎之男必贖、首生不潔之畜亦必贖。

每年屆期、必守此禮。

取利未人代以色列族初胎之男、亦取利未人之畜、代其首生之牲、使利未人悉歸於我、我耶和華所命如此。以色列族初胎之男、其數較諸利未人多二百七十三人、俱當以金贖之、人各取二兩有半、十錢為一兩、權衡其數、必循聖所之法。當以贖金、歸亞倫及其子。以色列族丁男冢子、較利未人為尤多、所贖之金、摩西取之、計六百八十二兩有半、權衡其金、悉循聖所之法。

王曰、不然、我欲購之、以償其值、不欲不費貲財、而獻燔祭、奉吾之上帝耶和華。於是大闢以金二十有五、購穀場與牛。
