这时，出卖耶稣的犹大看见耶稣已经定了罪，就后悔，把那三十块银钱拿回来给祭司长和长老，说：“我出卖了无辜人的血有罪了。”他们说：“那跟我们有什么相干？你自己承当吧！”犹大就把那银钱丢在殿里，出去吊死了。祭司长拾起银钱来，说：“这是血价，不可放在圣殿的银库里。”他们商议，就用那银钱买了窑户的一块田，用来埋葬外乡人。

摩西见百姓放肆，因亚伦纵容他们，使这事成了敌人的笑柄，

这人用他不义的代价买了一块田，以后身子仆倒，肚腹崩裂，肠子都流出来。

亚伦从他们手里接过来，用模子塑造它，把它铸成一头牛犊。他们就说：“以色列啊，这是领你出埃及地的神明！”

你为什么藐视耶和华的命令，做他眼中看为恶的事呢？你用刀击杀赫人乌利亚，又娶了他的妻子为妻，借亚扪人的刀杀死他。现在刀剑必永不离开你的家，因你藐视我，娶了赫人乌利亚的妻子为妻。’

那时，他们造了一个牛犊，又拿祭物献给那像，为自己手所做的工作欢跃。
