出卖耶稣的犹大看见耶稣被定了罪，感到很后悔，就把那三十块银子还给祭司长和长老，说：“我出卖了清白无辜的人，我犯罪了！”他们说：“那是你自己的事，跟我们有什么关系？”犹大把钱扔在圣殿里，出去上吊自尽了。祭司长们捡起银子，说：“这是血钱，不可收进圣殿的库房。”他们商议，决定用这些钱买下陶匠的地作为埋葬异乡人的坟场。

摩西见百姓放肆，亚伦纵容他们，使他们成为敌人的笑柄，

犹大用作恶得来的钱买了一块田，他头朝下栽倒在那里，肚破肠流。

亚伦用这些金耳环铸造了一头牛犊。他们说：“以色列人啊，这就是把你们带出埃及的神明。”

你为什么蔑视我的命令，做出我视为可憎的事呢？你借亚扪人的刀杀了赫人乌利亚，把他的妻子据为己有。因为你藐视我，把赫人乌利亚的妻子据为己有，从今以后，杀戮流血的事必永不离开你的家。’

于是，他们造了一个牛犊像，向它献祭，并为自己所做的事沾沾自喜。
