我對你們所說的一切，你們都要小心謹守，你們不可提別神的名，也不可讓人從你的口中聽到。

你要謹慎自己，留心自己的教訓。在這些事上要有恆心，因為你這樣作，不但能救自己，也能救那些聽你的人。

“你只要自己謹慎，又要謹守你的心思，免得你忘了你親眼看見的事，又免得這些事在你有生之日離開你的心；總要把這些事傳給你的子子孫孫，

使你們不與你們中間剩下的這些國家的人來往；他們的神的名字，你們不可提，不可指著他們起誓，不可事奉他們，也不可敬拜他們；

“到那日（這是萬軍之耶和華的宣告），我必從這地除掉偶像的名號，它們不再被人記念；我也必從這地除去假先知和污穢的靈。

我要把‘巴力’的名字從她口中除掉；他們的名字沒有人再提起。

你們要小心，免得有人失去了神的恩典；免得有苦根長起來纏繞你們，因而污染了許多人；

只是你們要謹慎遵守耶和華的僕人摩西吩咐你們的誡命和律法，愛耶和華你們的神，遵行他的一切道路，謹守他的誡命，緊緊倚靠他，一心一意事奉他。”

追求別神的，他們的愁苦必定加多。他們所奠的血祭，我不祭奠；我的嘴唇也不提別神的名。

所以，你們行事為人要謹慎，不要像愚昧人，卻要像聰明人。

你們自己要十分謹慎，愛耶和華你們的神。

如果他堅心遵行我的誡命和典章，像今日一樣，我必堅立他的國，直到永遠。’所以現今在耶和華的會眾，全體以色列人面前，我們的神也在垂聽，你們務要謹守和尋求耶和華你們神的一切誡命，使你們可以承受那美地，並且遺留給你們以後的子孫，永遠作為產業。“至於你，我兒所羅門哪，你要認識耶和華你父親的神，一心樂意事奉他，因為耶和華鑒察萬人的心，知道人的一切心思意念。你若是尋求他，就必尋見；你若是離棄他，他必永遠丟棄你。

因為他們暗中所作的事，連提起來也是羞恥的。

尼波、巴力．免（以上的名字是改了的）、西比瑪；又為他們修築的城市起了別的名字。

我曾說：“我要謹慎我的行為，不讓我的舌頭犯罪；惡人在我面前的時候，我總要用罩子約束我的嘴。”

你們要對他們這樣說：“那些沒有創造天地的神，必從地上、從天下消滅。”

也要拆毀他們的祭壇，打碎他們的神柱；用火焚燒他們的亞舍拉，砍倒他們的神的雕像，並且把他們的名字從這地方除滅。

“所以你們要特別小心，謹慎自己，因為耶和華在何烈山從火中對你們說話的那一天，你們沒有看見甚麼形象；
