難道你忘記了創造你、鋪展穹蒼、奠立大地根基的耶和華嗎？難道因為試圖毀滅你的欺壓者大發怒氣，你就整天驚恐不安嗎？他們的怒氣如今在哪裡呢？

「大海從母胎奔騰而出時，誰為它劃定界限？是我為大海披上雲彩，為它裹上厚厚的幽暗。是我為它劃定界限，並安上門和閂，說，『你到此為止，不可越界；你狂傲的波濤要停在這裡。』

難道不是你使海洋和深淵乾涸，在海中開出道路讓蒙救贖的人穿過的嗎？

你的道路穿越海洋，經過洪濤，但你的足跡無人看見。你藉著摩西和亞倫的手引領你的子民，如同牧人引領羊群。

祂領出自己的子民，好像領出羊群，引領他們經過曠野，使他們一路平安，免受驚嚇，大海卻淹沒了他們的仇敵。

你穿越洪濤，我必與你同在；你渡過江河，必不會被水淹沒；你在火中走過，必不會被燒傷，火焰不會燒到你身上。

用榮耀的臂膀扶持摩西，在他們面前把海水分開，使自己威名永存的那位在哪裡？帶領他們經過大海，猶如馬行平川不會失腳的那位在哪裡？

往下流的水立即止住了，在很遠的撒拉但附近的亞當城那裡漲成一道水牆。流入亞拉巴海，即鹽海的水被完全截斷了，民眾便走到對面的耶利哥。
