我心裏說：這是為了人類的緣故：是上帝要試驗他們，使他們看出自己不過像獸類一樣。

我心里说，这乃为世人的缘故，是神要试验他们，使他们觉得自己不过像兽一样。

我心里说：“为世人的缘故，上帝考验他们，让他们看见自己不过像走兽一样。”

我心里说：“为世人的缘故，神考验他们，让他们看见自己不过像走兽一样。”

我又想：“至于世人，上帝试验他们，是要他们知道自己与兽类无异。

我自己心里说：“至于世人，神要试验他们，使他们看见自己与牲畜无异。

至于世人，我心里说：“神在考验他们，要让他们看见自己像兽类一样”；

我心裏說，這乃為世人的緣故，是神要試驗他們，使他們覺得自己不過像獸一樣。

我心裏說：「為世人的緣故，上帝考驗他們，讓他們看見自己不過像走獸一樣。」

我又想：「至於世人，上帝試驗他們，是要他們知道自己與獸類無異。

我自己心裡說：“至於世人，神要試驗他們，使他們看見自己與牲畜無異。

至於世人，我心裡說：「神在考驗他們，要讓他們看見自己像獸類一樣」；

言及世人、我心自謂、上帝欲試之、使知其與獸無異、

又思世人行事、上帝察之、欲人知異於禽獸者幾希。

我又自思曰、世事如是乃緣人之故、蓋天主欲以試人、使人知人與獸無異、

I also said to myself,“ As for humans, God tests them so that they may see that they are like the animals.

I also said to myself,“ God tests human beings. He does this so they can see that in certain ways they are like animals.

I said in my heart with regard to the children of man that God is testing them that they may see that they themselves are but beasts.

I also thought about the human condition— how God proves to people that they are like animals.

I said to myself,“ This happens so that God may test the children of Adam and they may see for themselves that they are like animals.”

I said to myself regarding the sons of mankind,“ God is testing them in order for them to see that they are as animals, they to themselves.”

I said in my heart,“ Concerning the condition of the sons of men, God tests them, that they may see that they themselves are like animals.”

I said in my heart, It is because of the sons of men, that God may prove them, and that they may see that they themselves are but as beasts.

I said to myself,“ This happens concerning people, so that God may test them and they may see for themselves that they are like animals.”

I said in mine heart concerning the estate of the sons of men, that God might manifest them, and that they might see that they themselves are beasts.

I also thought to myself,“ It is for the sake of people, so God can clearly show them that they are like animals.

I said in my heart,“ As for the sons of men, God tests them, so that they may see that they themselves are like animals.

我，我是畜類無知；在你面前就如牲口一般。

按所保留給人的、只有一次的死，死後有審判。

對亞當永恆主上帝則說：『你既聽了你妻子的話，喫那樹上的果子，就是我吩咐你說：「不可喫」的，那麼土地就必因你的緣故而受咒詛；儘你一生的日子你必勞苦，才能從土地得喫的；土地必給你長出荊棘和蒺藜來；你也必喫田間的菜蔬；你必汗流滿面、才得喫食，直到你歸了土，因為你是由土取出來的：你本是塵土，仍要歸於塵土。』

為要播知他榮耀之豐富是賜給那蒙憐憫的、那早豫備好了、可進入「榮耀」的、器皿，就怎麼樣呢？他所寬容的

他還要歸到他歷代祖宗那裏，永不見光。人是不能久居於富貴的；他好似終被宰割的牲口一樣。

你年年把人撒播去，他們就如草早晨萌了芽；早晨萌了芽而發旺，晚上就凋萎枯乾了。因為我們因你的怒氣而消滅，因你的烈怒而惶恐到死。你將我們的罪孽擺在你面前，將我們的隱惡擺在你聖容之光輝中。我們的日子都在你的震怒中過去；我們度盡了歲月、像歎了一口氣。這其中、我們的年日是七十歲；若是強壯，可到八十歲；但其中所矜誇的、不過是勞苦愁煩迅速地過去，我們也飛沒了。誰曉得你怒氣之權勢，誰看明你震怒之威力呢？求你指教我們怎樣數算自己的日子，好增進智慧之心。

我犯罪得罪的乃是你，就只是你，是在你眼前行了這壞事，以致你下判語時顯為公義，你判罰時顯為清正。

但這些人呢、像無理性的畜生，屬獸性、為被捉拿和敗壞而生的！在不知不懂的事上他們竟毁謗，他們必在他們的敗壞中被敗壞；

『婦人所生的人歲數短促，滿有煩擾。他長出如花草，又被割下；他飛去如影兒，並不停留。這樣的人你豈睜眼看他，又叫他上法庭同你對訊麼？巴不得污穢之中能有潔淨呢！一概不能啊！

啊，你實在把他們安在滑地，使他們掉在完全荒廢的地步。一眨眼間他們怎樣地成了荒涼啊！他們全都被可怕的災難滅盡了。

何況那可厭惡而壞道敗德的、喝不義如喝水的世人呢？

他們如同羊羣被派定下陰間；死亡必牧養他們；使他們直下墳墓；他們的形體必消滅，陰間必做他們的居所。

難道你真地要破壞我的權利，定我為惡，以顯自己為義麼？

斷乎不能；上帝總是真誠的，雖則人人都撒謊；正如經上所記：『以致你在你的判語上總得證為對，你在被論斷時總必得勝。』

但人是不能久居於富貴的；他好似終被宰割的牲口一樣。

因為『一切血肉之人盡都如草，他的一切榮華都像草上的花；草必枯乾，花必凋謝；
