You shall not follow other gods, any of the gods of the peoples who surround you,

不可随从别神，就是你们四围国民的神；

不可随从别神，就是你们四围民族的众神明，

你不可隨從別的神、你們四圍別族之民的神；

勿從四周諸民之神、

四方民之上帝、爾勿從之、

勿從他神、即爾四周各國之神、

Do not follow other gods, the gods of the peoples around you;

Don’t serve the gods of the nations around you.

You shall not go after other gods, the gods of the peoples who are around you—

“ You must not worship any of the gods of neighboring nations,

Do not follow other gods, the gods of the peoples around you,

You shall not go after other gods, the gods of the peoples who are all around you

Ye shall not go after other gods, of the gods of the peoples that are round about you;

Do not follow other gods, the gods of the peoples around you,

Ye shall not go after other gods, of the gods of the people which[ are] round about you;

You must not go after other gods, those of the surrounding peoples,

You shall not go after other gods, of the gods of the peoples who are around you,

and do not follow other gods to serve them and to worship them, and do not provoke Me to anger with the work of your hands, then I will do you no harm.’

And it shall come about, if you ever forget the Lord your God and follow other gods and serve and worship them, I testify against you today that you will certainly perish.

— for you shall not worship any other god, because the Lord, whose name is Jealous, is a jealous God—otherwise you might make a covenant with the inhabitants of the land, and they would prostitute themselves with their gods and sacrifice to their gods, and someone might invite you to eat of his sacrifice,and you might take some of his daughters for your sons, and his daughters might prostitute themselves with their gods and cause your sons also to prostitute themselves with their gods.
