Now Joshua son of Nun was filled with the spirit of wisdom because Moses had laid his hands on him. So the Israelites listened to him and did what the Lord had commanded Moses.

永恆主的靈必住在他身上，就是智慧和明達之靈，謀略和能力之靈，認識和敬畏永恆主的靈。

於是這但以理，因有非常高超之靈在他裏頭，他便出類拔萃於眾總長和總督之上；王就想要立他來管理全國。

那麼我就照你的話行吧；看哪，我賜給你智慧聰明的心；在你以前沒有像你的，在你以後也沒有興起來像你的。

在基督裏面乃包蘊着一切智慧知識之寶藏。

上帝所差遣的那一位講上帝的話語；因為上帝賜聖靈、總無限量。

於是使徒給他們按手，他們就受了聖靈。西門見藉着使徒的按手，便有聖靈賜下來，就將錢獻給使徒，說：『把這權柄也給我，使我無論給誰按手，誰就可以受聖靈。』

叫他們站在使徒面前；使徒就禱告，給他們按手。

他們回答約書亞說：『你無論吩咐我們甚麼、我們都要行，你無論打發我們往哪裏去、我們都要去。我們從前怎樣凡事聽從摩西，現在也要怎樣聽從你；惟願永恆主你的上帝和你同在，像和摩西同在一樣。無論甚麼人違背你所吩咐的，對你所命令的一切事、不聽從你的話、那人總必須被處死。你只要剛強壯膽。』

那些在離不太遠的耶利哥神言人弟子們看見他，就說：『那感動以利亞的靈真地住在以利沙身上了。』他們就來迎接他，俯伏於地拜他。

我要在那裏降臨，和你說話，也要把在你身上的靈分在他們身上，他們就要和你一同擔當這管理人民的責任，免得你獨自擔當。

不要輕易給人「按手」，也不要在別人的罪上有份兒；要保守你自己清潔。

求你賜給你僕人能聽案件的心，可以為你人民判斷，能夠辨別好壞；因為誰能為你這數量這麼重的人民判斷呢？』

我將屬神的靈充滿了他，使他有技能、有聰明、有知識、有各樣的巧工，

永恆主對摩西說：『你要選取嫩的兒子約書亞、一個心裏有聖靈的人，按手在他頭上，使他站在祭司以利亞撒和全會眾面前，就在他們眼前委任他。你要將你的尊威給他幾分，好使以色列人全會眾都聽從他。他要侍立在祭司以利亞撒面前，以利亞撒要憑烏陵的判斷在永恆主面前為他求問，他和跟着的以色列眾人、全會眾、都要照以利亞撒所吩咐的而出，照以利亞撒所吩咐的而入。』於是摩西照永恆主所命令的而行；將約書亞領來，使他站在祭司以利亞撒和全會眾面前，按手在他頭上，委任他，照永恆主由摩西經手所說的。

二人過去之後，以利亞對以利沙說：『我還沒有被接離開你以前，必須為你作甚麼，你只管求！』以利沙說：『願感動你的靈雙倍地傳與我。』

別輕忽在你身上屬靈的恩賜了；這恩賜是從前藉着神言之傳講、連同長老會之按手所賜給你的。
