以下是耶稣基督降生的经过。耶稣的母亲玛丽亚和约瑟订了婚，还没有成亲就从圣灵怀了孕。

“如果有人在城中遇见已经订婚的女子，与她行淫，你们必须把二人带到城门口，用石头打死他们。那女子该死，因为她在城中却没有高声呼救；那男子该死，因为他奸污了别人的妻子。你们必须除去你们中间的罪恶。“如果有人在野外遇见已经订婚的女子，强奸了她，必须处死那男子。

可是，他们都找借口推辞。头一个说，‘我刚买了一块田，必须去看一看，请恕我不能参加。’另一个说，‘我新买了五对牛，要去试一试，请恕我不能参加。’还有一个说，‘我刚结了婚，所以不能去。’

当兵的若让其他事务缠身，就不能取悦征召他的上司。
