Then the Lord’s anger will burn against you, and he will shut up the heavens so that it will not rain and the ground will yield no produce, and you will soon perish from the good land the Lord is giving you.

If you do, the Lord will be very angry with you. He’ll close up the sky. It won’t rain. The ground won’t produce its crops. Soon you will die. You won’t live to enjoy the good land the Lord is giving you.

then the anger of the Lord will be kindled against you, and he will shut up the heavens, so that there will be no rain, and the land will yield no fruit, and you will perish quickly off the good land that the Lord is giving you.

If you do, the Lord’s anger will burn against you. He will shut up the sky and hold back the rain, and the ground will fail to produce its harvests. Then you will quickly die in that good land the Lord is giving you.

Then the anger of the LORD will erupt against you and he will close up the sky so that it does not rain. The land will not yield its produce, and you will soon be removed from the good land that the Lord is about to give you.

否则，今天我叫天地作证，你们必很快从约旦河对面将要占领的土地上灭亡，你们必被彻底消灭，不得在那里长久居住。

若我使天不下雨，使蝗虫吞吃地上的出产，或叫瘟疫在我民中流行，

“我在收割前三个月停止降雨。我在一座城降雨，在另一座城不降雨；我使一块田有雨水的滋润，另一块田因无雨而干裂。

“祂要使你们头顶的天如铜，脚下的地如铁。“祂要使雨水变为尘土，降在你们身上，直到你们灭亡。

你们盼望丰收，结果收的很少；你们把收成带回家，我却把它们吹走。这是什么缘故？万军之耶和华告诉你们，‘因为你们都忙于建自家的房子，任由我的殿一片废墟。所以，天不降雨露，地无出产。我让旱灾临到大地、群山、五谷、葡萄、橄榄等地里的出产以及人畜，使你们一切的劳碌付诸东流。’”

耶和华告诉耶利米有关旱灾的事：“犹大充满悲泣，她的城邑衰败，人人坐在地上痛哭，耶路撒冷哀鸣四起。贵族派仆人去水池打水，仆人去那里发现没有水，就带着空瓶垂头丧气、羞愧难当地回去了。天不下雨，土地干裂，农夫沮丧地抱着头。因为没有草，田野的母鹿抛弃了刚生下来的小鹿；因为没有草，野驴站在光秃的山头上像豺狼一样喘气，双目无神。”

“我今天警告你们，如果你们忘记你们的上帝耶和华，去追随、供奉、祭拜其他神明，你们必灭亡。如果你们不听从你们的上帝耶和华，你们必灭亡，正如祂使列国在你们面前灭亡一样。

有一位先知名叫以利亚，是基列的提斯比人。他对亚哈说：“我凭我事奉的以色列的上帝——永活的耶和华起誓，如果我不祷告，这几年必没有雨水和甘露。”

但倘若你们心中偏离，不肯听从，被引诱去祭拜、供奉别的神明，我今天警告你们，你们必定灭亡，在约旦河对岸——你们将要占领的土地上无法长久。

毫无疑问，你们的上帝耶和华必不再为你们赶走他们。相反，他们还要成为设在你们当中的圈套和陷阱，你们的肉中刺、眼中钉，直到你们在你们的上帝耶和华所赐给你们的这块美好的土地上灭亡。“我快要走完人世的路程了。你们深知你们的上帝耶和华赐给你们的一切美好应许没有一句落空，都已经应验了。正如你们的上帝耶和华已成就祂应许给你们的一切福气，如果你们违背祂，祂必照样降各样灾祸给你们，直到把你们从祂所赐的这美好土地上毁灭。你们如果违背你们的上帝耶和华吩咐你们遵守的约，去供奉、祭拜别的神明，祂必向你们发怒，使你们在祂所赐的这美好土地上迅速灭亡。”
