『將來你若留心聽永恆主你的上帝的聲音，謹慎遵行他的一切誡命、就是我今日所吩咐你的，永恆主你的上帝就必使你很高超、勝過地上的列國。你若聽永恆主你的上帝的聲音，以下這一切福就必臨到你，把你趕上。在城裏你必蒙賜福，在田間你必蒙賜福。你腹中的果子、你土地上的果實、你牲口所下的、你幼小的牛和肥嫩的羊、必都蒙賜福。你的筐子和你的摶麵盆也必蒙賜福。你進來必蒙賜福，你出去也必蒙賜福。『永恆主必使你的仇敵、那起來攻打你的、在你面前被擊敗；他們從一條路出來攻打你，必由七條路從你面前逃跑。在你的倉房裏、和你下手辦的一切事上、永恆主必命令福氣隨着你；在永恆主你的上帝所賜給你的地上、他必賜福與你。如果你謹守永恆主你的上帝的誡命、行他的道路、永恆主就必立你為屬他的聖民，照他向你所起誓過的。地上萬族之民、見你稱為歸於永恆主名下、就必懼怕你。在永恆主向你列祖起誓應許給你的土地、永恆主必使你腹中的果子、你牲口所下的，和你土地上的果實、都昌盛有餘。永恆主必為你開他的寶庫，為你開天，按時節把你地上所需要的雨水賜下來，賜福與你手裏作的一切事；你必借給許多國的人，卻不必向人借貸。永恆主必使你做頭不做尾，但居上不居下，如果你聽從永恆主你的上帝的誡命、就是我今日所吩咐你的，謹慎遵行，不偏離我今日所吩咐你們的一切話，而偏右偏左，去隨從別的神、而事奉他們，就必如此。

耶穌便拿這五個餅兩條魚，望着天祝頌，擘開了餅，連續地給門徒，去擺在眾人面前；他也把那兩條魚分給他們。眾人都喫，並且喫飽了；

你們向慕着多，你看，卻得的少；你們收到家裏，我給吹去。為甚麼？萬軍之永恆主發神諭說：因為我的殿荒廢，而你們各人卻逕為自己的房屋奔跑啊。

你們撒種，倒撒的多，收入的卻少；你們喫，卻喫不飽；喝，卻喝不足；有得穿，卻穿不暖；得了工錢，卻把工錢裝到刺破的口袋裏！

有一個人從巴力沙利沙來，帶着首熟大麥作的餅二十個、和新穀子、在旅行袋裏、來送給神人。神人說：『給眾人喫吧。』伺候的人說：『我怎能將這一點點擺在一百人面前呢？』以利沙說：『你只管給眾人喫吧；因為永恆主這麼說：「大家都要喫，並且還要有剩下的。」』僕人就擺在眾人面前；大家都喫了、並且還有剩下的，正如永恆主所說的。
