Seek the Lord and live, or he will sweep through the tribes of Joseph like a fire; it will devour them, and Bethel will have no one to quench it.

Israel, look to the Lord and live. If you don’t, he will sweep through the tribes of Joseph like a fire. It will burn everything up. And Bethel won’t have anyone to put it out.

Seek the Lord and live, lest he break out like fire in the house of Joseph, and it devour, with none to quench it for Bethel,

Come back to the Lord and live! Otherwise, he will roar through Israel like a fire, devouring you completely. Your gods in Bethel won’t be able to quench the flames.

Seek the LORD and live, or he will spread like fire throughout the house of Joseph; it will consume everything with no one at Bethel to extinguish it.

Seek the Lord so that you may live, Or He will break through like a fire, house of Joseph, And it will consume with no one to extinguish it for Bethel,

Seek Jehovah, and ye shall live; lest he break out like fire in the house of Joseph, and it devour, and there be none to quench it in Beth- el.

Seek Yahweh and live, or He will spread like fire throughout the house of Joseph; it will consume everything, with no one at Bethel to extinguish it.

Seek the LORD so you can live! Otherwise he will break out like fire against Joseph’s family; the fire will consume and no one will be able to quench it and save Bethel.

For thus says the Lord to the house of Israel:“ Seek Me and live;

Seek good and not evil, That you may live; So the Lord God of hosts will be with you, As you have spoken.

and say to the forest of the South,‘ Hear the word of the Lord! Thus says the Lord GOD:“ Behold, I will kindle a fire in you, and it shall devour every green tree and every dry tree in you; the blazing flame shall not be quenched, and all faces from the south to the north shall be scorched by it.All flesh shall see that I, the Lord, have kindled it; it shall not be quenched.”’”

If your hand causes you to sin, cut it off. It is better for you to enter into life maimed, rather than having two hands, to go to hell, into the fire that shall never be quenched—

Circumcise yourselves to the Lord, And take away the foreskins of your hearts, You men of Judah and inhabitants of Jerusalem, Lest My fury come forth like fire, And burn so that no one can quench it, Because of the evil of your doings.”

And they shall divide it into seven parts. Judah shall remain in their territory on the south, and the house of Joseph shall remain in their territory on the north.

And the house of Joseph also went up against Bethel, and the Lord was with them.So the house of Joseph sent men to spy out Bethel.( The name of the city was formerly Luz.)

Who drink wine from bowls, And anoint yourselves with the best ointments, But are not grieved for the affliction of Joseph.

For I, your servant, know that I have sinned. Therefore here I am, the first to come today of all the house of Joseph to go down to meet my Lord the king.”

The man Jeroboam was a mighty man of valor; and Solomon, seeing that the young man was industrious, made him the officer over all the labor force of the house of Joseph.

Therefore thus says the Lord GOD:“ Behold, My anger and My fury will be poured out on this place— on man and on beast, on the trees of the field and on the fruit of the ground. And it will burn and not be quenched.”

Seek the Lord while He may be found, Call upon Him while He is near.

“ I will strengthen the house of Judah, And I will save the house of Joseph. I will bring them back, Because I have mercy on them. They shall be as though I had not cast them aside; For I am the Lord their God, And I will hear them.

Then Israel saw Joseph’s sons, and said,“ Who are these?”Joseph said to his father,“ They are my sons, whom God has given me in this place.” And he said,“ Please bring them to me, and I will bless them.”Now the eyes of Israel were dim with age, so that he could not see. Then Joseph brought them near him, and he kissed them and embraced them.And Israel said to Joseph,“ I had not thought to see your face; but in fact, God has also shown me your offspring!”So Joseph brought them from beside his knees, and he bowed down with his face to the earth.And Joseph took them both, Ephraim with his right hand toward Israel’s left hand, and Manasseh with his left hand toward Israel’s right hand, and brought them near him.Then Israel stretched out his right hand and laid it on Ephraim’s head, who was the younger, and his left hand on Manasseh’s head, guiding his hands knowingly, for Manasseh was the firstborn.And he blessed Joseph, and said:“ God, before whom my fathers Abraham and Isaac walked, The God who has fed me all my life long to this day,The Angel who has redeemed me from all evil, Bless the lads; Let my name be named upon them, And the name of my fathers Abraham and Isaac; And let them grow into a multitude in the midst of the earth.”Now when Joseph saw that his father laid his right hand on the head of Ephraim, it displeased him; so he took hold of his father’s hand to remove it from Ephraim’s head to Manasseh’s head.And Joseph said to his father,“ Not so, my father, for this one is the firstborn; put your right hand on his head.”But his father refused and said,“ I know, my son, I know. He also shall become a people, and he also shall be great; but truly his younger brother shall be greater than he, and his descendants shall become a multitude of nations.”So he blessed them that day, saying,“ By you Israel will bless, saying,‘ May God make you as Ephraim and as Manasseh!’” And thus he set Ephraim before Manasseh.

say to them,‘ Thus says the Lord God:“ Surely I will take the stick of Joseph, which is in the hand of Ephraim, and the tribes of Israel, his companions; and I will join them with it, with the stick of Judah, and make them one stick, and they will be one in My hand.”’

For the Lord your God is a consuming fire, a jealous God.

The strong shall be as tinder, And the work of it as a spark; Both will burn together, And no one shall quench them.

Say to them:‘ As I live,’ says the Lord GOD,‘ I have no pleasure in the death of the wicked, but that the wicked turn from his way and live. Turn, turn from your evil ways! For why should you die, O house of Israel?’

“ If fire breaks out and catches in thorns, so that stacked grain, standing grain, or the field is consumed, he who kindled the fire shall surely make restitution.
