Are they servants of Christ?( I am talking like I am out of my mind!) Once I received a stoning. Three times I suffered shipwreck. A night and a day I spent adrift in the open sea.I have been on journeys many times, in dangers from rivers, in dangers from robbers, in dangers from my own countrymen, in dangers from Gentiles, in dangers in the city, in dangers in the wilderness, in dangers at sea, in dangers from false brothers,in hard work and toil, through many sleepless nights, in hunger and thirst, many times without food, in cold and without enough clothing.

“ Then they will hand you over to be persecuted and will kill you. You will be hated by all the nations because of my name.

“ Blessed are you when people insult you and persecute you and say all kinds of evil things about you falsely on account of me.

But as God’s servants, we have commended ourselves in every way, with great endurance, in persecutions, in difficulties, in distresses,

“ I have told you all these things so that you will not fall away.They will put you out of the synagogue, yet a time is coming when the one who kills you will think he is offering service to God.They will do these things because they have not known the Father or me.But I have told you these things so that when their time comes, you will remember that I told you about them.“ I did not tell you these things from the beginning because I was with you.

And now, compelled by the Spirit, I am going to Jerusalem without knowing what will happen to me there,except that the Holy Spirit warns me in town after town that imprisonment and persecutions are waiting for me.

The destroyer is as good as dead, you who have not been destroyed! The deceitful one is as good as dead, the one whom others have not deceived! When you are through destroying, you will be destroyed; when you finish deceiving, others will deceive you!

For, I think, God has exhibited us apostles last of all, as men condemned to die, because we have become a spectacle to the world, both to angels and to people.We are fools for Christ, but you are wise in Christ! We are weak, but you are strong! You are distinguished, we are dishonored!To the present hour we are hungry and thirsty, poorly clothed, brutally treated, and without a roof over our heads.We do hard work, toiling with our own hands. When we are verbally abused, we respond with a blessing, when persecuted, we endure,when people lie about us, we answer in a friendly manner. We are the world’s dirt and scum, even now.

and here he has authority from the chief priests to imprison all who call on your name!”

for which I suffer hardship to the point of imprisonment as a criminal, but God’s message is not imprisoned!So I endure all things for the sake of those chosen by God, that they too may obtain salvation in Christ Jesus and its eternal glory.

I, John, your brother and the one who shares with you in the persecution, kingdom, and endurance that are in Jesus, was on the island called Patmos because of the word of God and the testimony about Jesus.

as well as the persecutions and sufferings that happened to me in Antioch, in Iconium, and in Lystra. I endured these persecutions and the Lord delivered me from them all.
